From: Olympian90@aol.com Subject: ISO "The George Michael Story" BBC Radio 2/Radio 1 interviews... Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2004 08:50:56 -0400 Hello Everyone, BBC Radio 2 broadcasted a three-part, three-hour series of interviews with George Michael and other people associated with Wham!, etc. Did anyone record these? I'd be interested in these as well as copies of interviews he did recently on BBC Radio 1. I do have a copy, but there are massive static/cut-out problems. Thanks! Tim
From: "Ed Buckel" <edventure69@hotmail.com> Subject: taping Tortoise Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2004 08:57:52 -0400 tortoise is very much open taping, i taped the detroit show along with a friend. i ran superlux hypers, and he ran adk tl's. we were on the same stand, fob, roc, security said nothing to us, didn't even look in our bag on the way in. once inside, we flew the mics high and no one said anything then. Go out and tape this band, my recording is up on bt.etree.org right now.
From: Reboot <re_bootleg@yahoo.com> Subject: for trade: Weakerthans 11/30/01 pre-fm Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2004 20:03:45 -0700 (PDT) I don't have a lot of time for trading these days, but I thought I should offer this show while it's on my drive and easy for me to make a few copies. The Weakerthans - Nov. 30, 2001 Babylon, Ottawa, ON 63 min. pre-fm (unedited/unaired) A+ An excellent, uncirculated show, straight off the master DAT. I'm not looking for more Weakerthans specifically - I like many bands, so feel free to send me your lists. I trade on CD-R. Thanks! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! From: Ian Stoy <ianstoy@isdesign.org> Subject: ~FS-Denecke AD-20 + PS-2 (Dual Phantom) + 12v SLA to power both~ Reply-To: ianstoy@isdesign.org Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2004 20:57:30 -0700 FS-Denecke AD-20 + PS-2 (Dual Phantom) + 12v SLA to power both [Ok So my TCD D-7 died Again!!.... After just getting it back from Sony hardly a year ago with their unadvertised Flatrate Fee service. I am tired of sony products (F*#K SONY!). So hopefully, I am going to upgrade to a MAC Laptop (been a MAC user since 1988).] Therefore: My (just over 1 year old purchased [11/02]) set up of: A Denecke PS-2 (Dual Phantom supply) $150 (new) and my AD-20 (20bit Mic Pre A>D Converter) $330 (new). Rig also includes a PowerSonic (3.4 amp/hr.) SLA 12v battery (new 3/2003) and the PowerSonic PSC-12300A Float Charger for the battery. Approx. $60 (for both new) and Xtras! Of course I paid Shipping on all of these originally. The Ad-20 & PS-2 were purchased from Cascade Media in Portland Oregon, and shipped directly from Denecke to me! looking for $490.00 for all + buyer pays shipping ::::::make offers:::::: Please contact me off list: ianstoy at isdesign.org -- Ian more info and Xtras below: I switched to the battery set up because the 9 volts only powered my mics (RODE NT5’s) for under 2 hours. However the 12v set up will power both the AD-20 and the PS-2 for over 26 hours, great for festivals! Using the 9v its a great stealth set up! There is no Problem with either of these units and they are in perfect condition. Currently, I am looking for a Mic Pre that is more compatible with a laptop, most likely the Sound Devices USBPre. I have run the rig a number of times and even used the AD-20 out of my Mackie 1402 as a better A>D converter than the one in my Fostex D-5. The only mods I have done is I slipped some small O-Rings over the small knobs to make them bigger and easier to adjust (they can of course can be removed!). I have been super happy with this rig, it has both Optical and Coax outs. I got it all as a portable set up for my now dead D-7. I need to get a new portable, so I am realizing that this is the perfect segue > to a laptop. Xtras: I’ll even throw in my GOLD 1/8”mini>RCA for the Coax out. Its great you can run the Coax and even give a optical digi patch to someone with a minidisc, if you are so inclined. I will also include a 12v (Radio Shack wall wort) 110vAC >12vDC power adapter I set up, that will power both the AD-20 & PS2 at the same time for those times when power is available. I might even consider any of the 3 (optical-sony, Coax in-sony, Coax in out) -7-pin digicables I have, may be?.... If wanted I could send some photos of the units, just let me know. Thanx for the extra big chunk of ---Band--Width! BTW: B&P or trade: 2 Discs: John Scofield Band Stewart Park Roseburg OR 7.1.03 (with this rig) RODE NT5 ‘s @110°ORTF (approx 30’ fromstage 4’ left of center, Johns side, head high-picnic sit down setting)> Denecke PS-2> AD-20> Sony TCD-D7 > Cubase 5.0 VST > Peak 2.62 > Jam > Disc (2) [Covers included] For a limited time.... or those interested in the “rig” contact me off list -- Ian
