Hi all,
I've been trying to weed out my collection. I have a lot of stuff I got =
in trades for friends and my ex that I just would never listen to, and in =
many cases never have listened to. It's 94 DATs mostly KAO or Maxell 90 =
or 60 meter tapes. Plus I have 39 CDRs as well. I'd like to get $200 for =
the lot, plus shipping, but I'm flexible. I'd like to sell it all =
together but reaonable offers would be considered. I'd consider trading =
for CDs of stuff that sounds interesting, particularly interested in =

I have a Tascam DA-20 that I bought used from a home studio last December. I've put maybe 100 hours on it since I've had it.
Here's the deal:
It will only occasionally play tapes made from my d8, but it will play/record tapes made on other peoples' decks. When it gets angry, it will play about 15 seconds and then start dropping out every second before it stops altogether. I'm pretty sure this is due to the fact that my d8 needs a cleaning/alignment, and is not an issue with the Tascam, but I want to be upfront and honest about the condition of the deck.
Might be useful for someone who wants a second or third deck or needs one for parts. Make me an offer, I'm just trying to raise some funds to pay for service on my portable...

i've had too many shows that are in the 80-90 min range, and they work
great - the only brand i've used are the Phoenix's from American
Digital and have had zero problems. Phoenix was the same brand that
brought out 80 min CDRs very early in the game.
and the best part is the 90 min CDRs virtually play in any units that
are capable of playing 74 or 80 min CDRs, which really surprises me.
