I sent this privately to the fellow with the dead DA-P1 power supply,
however, the following may be if interest to the list. Tascam (at least
here in the USA) offers fast (generally 2 weeks for a DA-P1) and reasonably
priced repair service, and you can talk to their service folks via
telephone. Just go to: www.tascam.com and go to "support" for more help,
telephone numbers, etc. They also offer parts through the repair depot. My
luck with them has been good.

Howdy!
Here's the deal.
Am getting rid of extra DAT equipment and no longer use this Tascam Dual DAT
302
Bought from Oade back in 96 and it has had intermittent problems over years
like many of its kind. Got free factory upgrade and repair from Tascam last
year and it works ok except:
It is "iffy" on some DDS tapes and DAT 2 load mech sticks - you can open
with fingernail or small flat blade.
Low hours on heads and might be good to have for spare parts to repair DA
-30s,
DA-P1s?
Will give it free to anyone who wants - if you live in Atlanta area you can
come by and grab it. If you want it and live elsewhere..you pay for shipping.
Have all repair invoices
Come and get it!
