Hi DAT-Heads,
I'm selling a pair of tickets together in the 20th row center at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL for the show there on Friday, June 18th. Asking face value for the pair of tickets, which is $65. If anyone wants great seats for this show and can meet me in the Chicago area (or pay with paypal and I will ship them) please email me at Lerdawg at AOL dot com. While Ravinia is a difficult place to pull a tape, I definitely have some great recordings from there in my collection ;-).
Peace,
Mike

Subject: Funny taper cartoon and offer

Hi,
Just wanted to point out a funny cartoon in Sunday's comics. In "the Family
Circus",
the mother is laying on a hammock listening to the birds singing in the
trees. All of the kids are gathered a few feet from her and the oldest one says
"Shh! Mommy's trying to hear the concert". I'm sure all of us can sympathize with
her.
For the offer, 7 years ago today I saw the first of 3 Phish shows I went
overseas to see. I was one if three tapers at the 6/13/97 Dublin show, and I
haven't seen this on many lists. They debuted some new songs and it was overall a
pretty good show.
I'll take the first three people to respond, and preferably one of those
would be willing to offer it up on "Sharing the Groove" or a tree.
Thanks,
Wes

short and sweet, I'm hoping someone out there can tape The Dresden Dolls
on KCRW Thursday, June 24 at 9:00AM west coast time.
they're a fantastic up-and-coming band, you can read more at
www.dresdendolls.com and see 'em on Lollapalooza every day if you're
gonna be there.
Also, if there's anyone who's planning on taping @ lollapalooza this
year, if you could catch the Dolls sets I would appreciate it forever and
reimburse tapes if desired. They're on the Solar Stage at every show,
and they're okay with taping if Lolla people are going to let gear in
because of SCI and you can use a good rig. (they ask for copies of the
shows you tape is all).
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Does anybody know of a way to store audio in compressed form and then
play it back from the compressed files without first having to create
a decompressed file? I.e. decompressing on the fly?
Thanks

If there is one word to describe me,
that word would have to be "profectionist".
Any form of incompitence is an athema to me.
Metathesis??? Don't ax me.
Just between you and I, the grammar used by Americans are getting worse.

Due to an unexpected commitment, it looks like I'm
going to miss this one. If you're interested in the
ticket at something resembling face value, e-mail me
off list soon.
