When you want to burn an Audio CD of this material, iTunes will automatically burn it at full audio quality, and when you play from the library, again, full uncompressed quality. at this time, the apple format does not work with much OTHER software, but iTunes is useful and self-contained, so it's pretty handy. It would be nice if the Apple format had built-in checksumming. hope that helps. -tas On Jun 14, 2004, at 12:50 AM, Digestifier wrote: > From: "James B. Apologies to anyone who has had an email bounce or wrote to me without receiving a reply.....I'm still discovering months-old emails that I had not yet responded to. My old email addy will be kept alive just in case, but I'm trying to phase it out asap. My new one is: bogusisme@surfbest.net Please direct all future communication there.... Yours Truly, john e. bogus ------------------------------ From: "john e. bogus" Subject: MC5 reunion tour....is taping allowed? Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 07:18:23 -0400 For those of you that may not know, the remaining living members of the legendary MC5 are in the midst of a reunion tour. The remaining tourdates and more info can be found here: http://www.dkt-mc5.com/index.cfm?pg=tour Note that Mark Arm of Mudhoney and Marshall Crenshaw (huh?) are involved in this tour......and according to The Dictators' website, Dictators vocalist Handsome Dick Manitoba is appearing with the band at both NYC shows tonight and tomorrow. The big question is are they allowing taping? Wayne Kramer IS pro-taping, but I don't know how everyone else involved feels about it. I did try to email Wayne and his manager regarding this a while back, but received no response. Has anyone tried to tape openly or ask permission? I'll be at the DC show, for which this particular venue is an easy stealth, but I'd sure like to get this one on video too if I can....who else is taping or tried to tape on this tour? TIA, john e. bogus ------------------------------ From: "john e. bogus" Subject: Hidden Hand European tour Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 07:18:30 -0400 The Hidden Hand is starting a European tour this week.....hopefully some of you can hit these shows. The band does allow taping, both audio and video. For those of you who may not know who they are, this is Wino's new band (ex- Spirit Caravan, The Obsessed, St. Vitus) and they are red hot! A must-see for anyone who enjoys old-school metal and heavy rock. There are only two known DAT tapes of the band besides my own masters, so here's your chance to make a nice "rare" tape. Everyone I've turned on to this band thinks that they're excellent, so if you enjoy good-old-fashioned-kickass-rock-and-roll, surely you will too! Here's the dates: http://www.thehiddenhand.com/shows.php Yours Truly, john e. bogus ------------------------------ From: "john e. bogus" Subject: BWT (RIP) Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 07:18:39 -0400 Ok, looks like time for another BWT, dosen't it? How about a VHS tape containing the following: Hidden Hand - The Warehouse Next Door, Washington, DC 5/26/04 (50 minutes) Ray Charles - Artscape Festival, Baltimore, MD 7/15/01 (60 minutes) Both recordings are straight off my DV masters, both taped FOB center, both excellent quality tripod shot. For those who may not be familiar with the way I handle these things, if you want the BWT, you gotta follow the rules: ONE copy only, to the LAST person to respond before digest #146 hits my inbox.....BWT is Absolutely Free, no B's or P's needed.....sorry to all others but the last respondant, but I'm not offering to trade this out right now, as I'm already trying to get through a year's worth of backlogged trade requests and not accepting new trade requests at the present time. Yours Truly, john e. bogus ------------------------------ From: "john e. bogus" Subject: correction! Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 11:45:25 -0400 Small typo in my BWT offer! BWT goes to the last person responding before digest #147, repeat, digest #147 hits my inbox. Gotta keep it fair to all the digesters! Sorry if there was any confusion over this.... Yours Truly, john e. bogus ------------------------------ From: "Andrew Dunn" Subject: Stealth taping at Red Rocks Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 19:54:56 -0400 Heading out west to Red Rocks for the first time for the SCI / ABB shows. I have a GA ticket and want to ask some tapers that have frequented Red Rocks in recent history a few stealth questions concerning some of the ins and outs of this venue. Please reply off list if anyone would be kind enough to entertain some questions. Thanks Chris ------------------------------ From: Michael Miller Subject: I HAVE YOUR DECK FROM BONNAROO! Date: 14 Jun 2004 21:25:55 -0400 I have a deck that was given to me at Wilco to patch for Vida Blue. The taper never showed up to collect his gear and I never saw him again at other sets. If this sounds like you or someone you know, please get in touch with me. Your gear is safe, but no longer in TN so we need to arrange something to get this back to you. -- Michael Miller ------------------------------ From: "Sim" Subject: ATTN: Dave Matthews Tapers Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 21:00:10 -0400 If anyone is planning to tape the upcoming DMB shows, I was hoping I could ask for a tape of the opening act: Antigone Rising. I'd like to get the show on DAT, but CDR is ok too. Have much to trade, or will do a B & P, whatever it takes. They will be supporting the Dave Matthews Band at: Maryland Heights, MO 6/17/04 Tinley Park, IL 6/18/04 Noblesville, IN 6/21/04 TIA for any consideration, contact off list... sim ------------------------------ From: KindTaper@aol.com Subject: ISO: Casket Lottery recent tour Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 23:08:30 EDT Did anyone tape Casket Lottery on their recent West Coast tour? I have a CL master and more emo stuff to trade. Thanks, Wes Kindtaper@aol.com ------------------------------ From: KindTaper@aol.com Subject: Slint Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 23:09:34 EDT Also, does anyone have that Slint SBD from 1990? I would also like to find a show where they played "Good Morning, Captain" live, audience or SBD. Thanks, Wes Kindtaper@aol.com ------------------------------ From: KindTaper@aol.com Subject: Slint repair request Date: Tue, 15 Jun 2004 01:34:09 EDT I've a got a really good Slint show from Chicago in 1990, but whoever I got it from made it track at once. Can anyone easily correct this and send me back a fixed copy? Please let me know if you can help.
