To my knowledge, Guitar Shorty has a no taping policy.  He plays quite 
often in a local Blues club and I have seen him many times.  The guy who 
works the soundboard told me that one night, after the first set, he 
almost ran his chubby short butt from the stage to the board, and 
started looking for any taping being done.  I've spoken to numerous 
Blues artist about recording, and all of them wound up saying no.  One 
who initially told me he thought it would be great, and he wanted to do 
it, checked with his label, Evidence, and that ended that.

None the less, he was related to Jimi Hendrix, and I think he played the 
best "Hey Joe" I ever heard.
