twice in the last month I've taken a brand new Sony 120m blank,
fast-forwarded to the end, rewound to the beginning, and when I went to
record, I get the "Tape Protect" message that the manual says is only
supposed to appear when the little tabe is left open.
the first time it happened was when I tried to record over three minutes of
audience noise when Rickie Lee Jones didn't come out for an encore.
the second time was with a brand new tape.
I fortunately had a second TDK blank when recording one of these shows,
which came out fine, so it's not (?) the deck (Sony PCM-1)
how? why?

Hiya-
I have to sell my SBM to meet some financial obligations.
Owned it for about 9 months, great condition, works flawlessly..
Have original box, Oade Reciept for the ADC mod dated 5-02. with coax mod
also..
Was sent back to oade in just before i bought it to have an RCA jack
repaired.
Asking $550. Paypal prefered, will do money orders or cashiers checks also.
Thanks!
-Mike

I sent a closed msg to the list yesterday, but it seems I've been having
problems posting to the list lately. Anyway, this offer is closed. Look for
john e. bogus, Jim Kelly and Mitchell Asch to reoffer soon...

Hi all,
About a decade ago, I subscribed to this list and got some great =
information
on DAT decks as I got setup to trade live shows. I collected only a =
handful
of shows (mostly Dead), and now I've transferred them all to my hard =
drive.
I sold my DAT deck since I do most everything audio related on my =
computer
now. As a way of showing my gratitude for the information I gleaned from =
the
list, I've subscribed again, long enough to give my small collection of
shows to a good home.
Anyone who's interested in the shows listed below (and has an address in =
the
U.S.), please e-mail me by 6:00 pm Central time, July 9, 2004. I'll draw =
a
name out of a hat, and send the entire collection to the winner, =
including
two plastic drawer DAT cases, one of which is filled with the shows.
Good luck, and thanks for keeping the music alive.
