I am looking to buy a Schoeps VMS02 (aka VMS 02 IB).
Please contact me off list if you have one or know where I can find one in
good to excellent condition (I will require pictures of the unit inside and
out prior to purchase).
Thanks

I have been taping with my Sony D8 for a few years now, not concerts
but environmental sounds mainly (India, France, Sweden). I have been
transferring the DATs to hard disk for classification and editing
etc. and before using in sound works. It seems to me that after this
I do not need to keep the master tapes, and so I can reuse them. When
I use a new or part-used tape I can fast-forward to the end of the
used portion of the tape. But when reusing I do not know how to wipe
the tape. Is this possible? Or am I using the thing all wrong?
