Hey Now All!
About 6 weeks ago I taped him and his band. No
problem with taping,he was glad I wanted to. However
even using the full roll off on my AKG 391s and the
20db pad on my DA-P1, the tape is so distorted its not
listenable. I taped in a 20x40 room about 25 ft from
the stage and tried everything I knew to get the
second set to sound better than the first. No go.
But get there early , ask nice , promise a copy ( I
ran both my P1s) and take you chances. He does not run
his guitar through the board so bring mics.

tape.

Bought new about 4-6 months ago, used it 4 or 5 times,
then got a dif preamp (with phantom/pre/a-d) and never
use the DXA-6 anymore. Runs on a 9v and has never
given me a problem. I used hot mics->DXA-6->D8 for
"low key" situations and was a great small, easy,
stealthy setup. All fit in my pockets!
Note; this unit is not a preamp - the 'volume knobs'
are not for gain, but for trimming to get balance on
stereo signals.
I paid full price for it (new, about $250), would be
happy with a c-note and shipping.

I acquired this deck about a month and a half ago from another DAT-head and never hooked it up except to test it. Plays and records fine. Now, I need the cash to put new rotors on my truck since it's shaking like an Iraqi Space Shuttle every time I hit the brakes. This deck is in fantastic condition, however I don't know how many hours are on the heads. But, everyone knows these decks are built like tanks.
Make me an offer- I'll accept check, MO, or paypal if the buyer picks up the paypal fees.
