Here's the company I buy my blank DATS from. I get Maxell DDS for $1.80
each. Maybe they have good prices on the brands you are looking for? They
have a lot of brands and have good customer service. (I don't work for them,
but someone was asking for places to buy cheap blanks). www.totalmedia.com
If anyone knows a cheaper place, let me know.

Try Cascade Media in Portland OR - they have Sony DGP DDS tapes for
$2.50 each - and have always been very fast and reliable to me, as well
as not spaming me like some of the other media vendors. They also are a
good source for other live taping needs. As always, I don't have any
affiliation with them other then being a satisfied customer.

Hey People,
It's been quite a while since I've had to make a DAT tape purchase
(stocked up heavily a few years ago). I was surprised to see that tapes
have climbed back up to just about $3/tape on all of my favorite sites.
Is that the standard rate now a days or am I missing the old *close
to* $2 prices somewhere? Specifically, I like Sony or Quantegy (not
Maxell) DDS tapes, both 60 & 90.
Thanks f/ any suggestions...
Peace,
Sean

Hey Now All!
Just my .02 worth on this subject. It seems to me
that since the demise of Terrapin Tapes ( we miss you
Ken!! ) it is not just tape prices that have risen.
I have seen prices for all DAT equipment go shooting
back up. If only all the people that were helped out
by Ken and his crew sent him $10.00, I know I saved
that much just on cassettes, maybe they could get
started again and the meet or beet the lowest price
factor would come back again.
I have tried to buy from all the different and
competitive vendors. But I have been shocked by sch
things as " no handling charges" only to find a $20
shipping fee added.
I know the going price of shipping as I now ship all
of my equipment instead of taking it on the plane.
OH well, maybe someone will step forward and make
this addiction afordable again. Hell I have a hard
time finding DAT traders anymore. It's discs or
nothing...Sad, sad, but true. At least to me.
Peace, Michael

Well, I hate to do it but I am getting ready to move from Northern Idaho to Knoxville,TN and I am really gonna need some extra gas money. The AD-20 is about six months old and I have only used it for four shows. I have been pleased with the results I've gotten from it. Its a great piece of equiptment for anyone who doesnt want a lot of extra weight or bulk . I did use a silver marker to hi-light the little notches on the gain knobs so that you can see them better. Since it is so new and in perfect shape I'm gonna be firm on the price, $230 Shipped to your door. I would prefer paypal but if your quick I will take money orders too.
I also have a fresh 10 pack of Maxell HS-4/60's for sale, Still shrink-wrapped. $28 Shipped.
Thanks for the space,
Matt
