Anyone know how James McMurtry feels about taping? I'm guessing he is
against it, based on his "literary" reputation.
Also, this may not be the place for this question, but while I'm posting. I
have noticed on some of my store-bought music DVDs (Ian Hunter, Dirk
Hamilton) that the music is not properly synchronised with the video. Could
this be the result of a cheap DVD player? Or is this just poor editing? It
gets pretty annoying, to the point where instead of enjoying the show I am
constantly watching to see how out of sync things are.
Thanks,
Dan in SC

It's not quite *that* old. I bought one 1992, so they were
probably introduced sometime around 1991.

The Market Posting (remember that?) entry is dated 10/15/92, and
states that it had been replaced by the 67ES at that point.
However, there were no domestic US dat decks available in the mid (or
late) 1980's, so introduction in 1990 or 1991 seems more likely.

Hello,
does anybody know how to contact nowadays Kevin Sheets?
It looks like the old email I have of one of the greatest Van Morrison
collectors is no longer working, and I need to contact him urgently.
Thanks,
Enrico

I am selling my Sony D8 which I had hoped to use to stealth lots of shows
except I forgot that I'm lazy and I don't stealth shows.
I used this D8 to patch to a second source at a few shows, but mostly
I did transfers to my HD because it took up less space on my desk than my
DA-P1.
So very low recording hours. Probably less than 50. Playback hours might
total 200.
I used a lighting gel to change the backlight color to green, which makes it
noticeable
in a crowd of D8s and also protects the screen from scratches.
This unit is in great shape cosmetically and functionally.
Comes with original box, manual, Oade I/O cable, D-cell sled, AC cable, and
a small camera case. I'd be happy to send photos to anyone interested.
Asking price is $375.
With that said, I'm also looking for a Coventry ticket for my sister.
Please contact me if you have any leads, want to buy my D8, or both.
thanks,
-Jordan Braunstein
