From: Tom Brennan <ginge@optonline.net> Subject: Chicago FM Taper Need for this Sunday Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 02:44:27 -0400 Hi Guys, Are there any tapers in the Chicago area that could possibly record a FM broadcast this Sunday evening? The station is 93 WXRT. At 8pm they air "The Sunday Night Concert" and this week the concert is Morrissey from a concert he did at the House of Blues last weekend. I am in New York and would greatly appreciate a copy of this broadcast. So if anyone out there in Chicago could help me out, please drop me a line. Thanks, Tom
From: Jason Carroll <jc2689@yahoo.com> Subject: nak 300 batteries Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 06:18:42 -0700 (PDT) hey Dave... check this website to see if you have a Batteries Plus store near you (or even en route to the show)... i used to get batteries for my NAK's at these stores all the time when i lived in NC. http://www.batteriesplus.com ******************************************** From: "david gatewood" <daveg_8@hotmail.com> Subject: Nak 300 batteries Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 00:44:24 +0000 Is anyone coming to Alpine Sat for the Dead that has an extra set of Nak 300 batteries I could either use for just that show, or a set to buy. For use, certainly a beer or 2 would be coming your way. For purchase, whatever's fair + a little something for you. I waited too long, and now can't get them mailed in time. Thanks in advance.....Dave ************************************************ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! (Funny how that is often the case w/ supposedly "unrecordable" artists, AKA: BTDAT... ) Did have him ask to not be taped one night when he had a cold & his voice was ragged... perfectly understandable. SBD access is almost always denied. Copies of the show are welcomed. He was aware of it and did not object, either before, during or after the show. They were also taping for the live CD that was released this year. He puts on a great show and I didn't notice any airs regarding a literary connection. As James says, he used to think he was an artist but he found out he was a beer salesman. I'm guessing he is against it, based on his "literary" reputation. Somebody buy the poor thing & give her a good home... (I'd do it, but I'm saving up for another 8 channels of Event/Layla, an extended run time external battery pack for the laptop, a USB Pre, & a new small subbass cabinet.) For the very first run of V2s we made red and blue front panels. We then decided to just do blue. (there actually might be a black one out there too) I can't remember how many red ones we made but it was only a few. Very rare! Cheers, Mike Michael Grace Grace Design http://www.gracedesign.com ===================================== ATTN: Michael Grace - please forward This popped up today on the datheads list & I thought you might be interested. It would make an excellent item for the 'museum' of company history... ;) However, the picture of the V2 on the auction shows a bluefaced unit. Huh? What!?! I thought that the blueface wasn't used until SN# V055... Something just doesn't seem right here. Please advise. From: thesmashingpumpkins-33@juno.com Subject: They Might Be Giants - TAPING POLICY? Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 13:51:00 -0400 I just called their management and the woman secretary told me to hang on for a couple of minutes. She eventually came back and told me she asked the manager but wasn't sure what to tell me other than to call back a little later today. I assumed he was out at the time. I am going to call later, but the show is tomorrow, and is at least 4 hours south of me down in Washington, DC. They are headlining a small outdoor festival where at least one of the openers doesn't allow taping. I want to run my DPA 4021's on a stand by the board. Someone please get back to me and give me the details. If I like their music and they give me permission, I'll tape them next week here in New Jersey.
