I knew I was going to do something like that some day. Anyways.... it was a really good show that I'd love to hear again. Anyone record the show. Please!! I'll offer you a generous trade off my list. Date: Tue, 27 Jul 2004 06:44:39 -0700 > > >Exactly what are one’s legal rights regarding the recording and trading of live concert broadcasts, the like of which are commonly available throughout the worldwide trading community. Can anyone point to legislation that legitimizes such practices? I know someone who’s been curious about this for quite >some time, and I promised to see what I could find out. > I spoke to a friend in the Los Angeles area who works in entertainment law about that issue. What his answer was surprised me. If a band has a policy that allows live recording of their performance, and they also broadcast a concert on either TV or radio, unless there is a specific disclaimer in their recording policy, that the recorder is informed of, and possibly even signed, the band has given away the "Intellectual property" rights to that performance. This also applies to the GD policy, and music that has been leaked from the vault, like all the soundboards. So, legally, according to what I've been told by an entertainment lawyer, is claims of copyrights and that anyone can't sell a copy of a show they were permitted to record made by GD Inc, and others, are not legal. However regardless of his interpretation of the law, he also said, they have a lot more money to pay lawyers than anyone else does. So, if you tried to sell these recordings, you would have an onslaught of legal action, that would effectively tie your hands, and unless you had the millions to fight the battle in court. Personally, I'm not willing to do anythng except enjoy the shows I got for free. Keith

From: Philip Dinhofer <philipdinhofer@yahoo.com> Subject: ISO Elvis Costello - O'Keeffe Center, Toronto Date: Tue, 27 Jul 2004 15:00:44 -0700 (PDT) Show was approximately 1977 or 1978, sometime in the fall if I recall correctly. This has been a holy grail of mine for the past 23 years or so. Loads to trade. Phil __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! Sometimes the sound being recorded is too low to use LINE but MIC would come out distorted. I used mine when I ran core sound mics to a minidisc, and later using core sound mics to a PCM-M1 going MIC in. If one buyer for all cables, $65.00 total. International buyer would require extra shipping costs Paypal accepted BUT only if sending a non-credit card payment. I will not pay the extra charges to accept credit card payments. Money order accepted as well. I have sold gear here before, references available. _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected?
