In last digest one guys asked infos about Iriver iHP 120/ 140 and a Nomad Jukebox 3, and I'm curious to know real experience of DAT taper who tried those equipment.
Surfing on the net I found other solution, like recording with laptop, but don't think this will be the reference for the "Art of taping", despite the fact that it would very difficult tape in stealth condition.
So I think that , in my case, that I have a set of mics that need phantom power, the best solution would be a unit like the Marantz PMD670K2.
In the link below this message, this unit is sold with 1gb flash card and with 30GB storage kit. Price is yet expensive (also if I'm sure other vendors here will have best price for us), and 1 GB is too little (don't understand if the standalone 30GB storage kit work in real time (it would fantastic), or if after each recoridng of 1gb on flash card you must soon transfer wav to storage kit, then erase the flash card and then continuing to tape (ouch!)
anyway link is here (copy and past)

any feeback? There's somebody using the Marantz unit?

Still looking for the Sirius broadcast of the 2004 Crossroads Guitar
Festival on DAT. Beware, lots of (very deaf) people out there spreading the
webcast on various CD sets claiming they are from the satellite broadcast.
No CDs please, DigiSat -> DAT only.
Meagre and pathetic tradelist is at:
http://www.geetarz.org
Thanks!

Would love to get a show from their recent U.S. tour. I was supposed to see
them in Philadelphia but they cancelled. Any FM's from overseas would be fine,
too. I know they played Glastonbury.
Also, if you like in the UK, I would love to know: When Glastonbury festival
happens, do they broadcast every appearance? Is it a pay-per-view special or
freely broadcast?
Do they simulcast on the radio?
Do they only show big name acts (like Radiohead) on TV and only broadcast the
smaller names on the radio?
How about Reading or Carling Weekends? Do they broadcast those?
Thanks for any info,
Wes
