Looking for any taper willing to record Natalie Merchant
at the Edmonton Folk Festival on August 7th 2004. I'd be
willing to reimburse ticket and parking costs in exchange
for a DAT clone (or audio/SHN CDR transfer) of the show,
or I can tape any show in the Los Angeles area for you in
return.

thanks,
Justin

If you did the video with "12 bit" sound, you can dub the audio onto
the tape yourself with the camera. Or, play both tapes at the same
time and copy to DVD if you have a stand-alone recorder.
The sync should stick for 30 mins without difficulty. If you have
trouble syncing them up exactly, put the audio *ahead* of the
picture, and then you can dial in a correction with a digital delay
line on the audio, when playing back.
This, of course, is how to do it without a computer.

I have Keith & Donna Band and Kingfish featuring Bob Weir at The Beacon=20
Theater in NYC on 11/7/75 up for some trades. These sets were mastered by=20
legendary taper, Jerry Moore, and are particularly hot performances for both=
bands. I=20
don't think these are in heavy circulation, but they deserve to be, as the=20
quality is excellent.
I'll take a B&P or two from each list I send this to. If you'd enjoy a trade=
,=20
please send a non-Dead list along. I'm searching for more vintage recordings=
=20
from Fillmore East/West and The Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY (all=20
non-Dead artists are of interest). Also fixated on Miles Davis lately and l=
ooking=20
for any recent Rickie Lee Jones, Patty Griffin and Sam Phillips performances=
=20
for a friend. Deadwise, I'm interested in more K&D/Kingfish sets from this t=
our=20
and Robert Hunter when he toured with Comfort circa late1977/early1978..
Here are the details on these excellent recordings. Stu

Subject: FS: Ecocharge Sigma Plus Battery system for D-7/8/100 or M-1
Date: Fri, 6 Aug 2004 01:32:08 EDT
With Coventry around the corner, I figured now is as good a time as ever to
offer this to the list, and I'd much rather sell it to someone on here than
have to go ebay.
I have a Sigma Plus system from EcoCharge that I've had since 1997. I have
used it many times for my D-8/SBM-1 combo, and it works great. But I haven't
used it in a long time, and it's just gathering dust in my closet. I would rather
someone else get it and put it to use.
When I bought the set, I also bought a foreign voltage adapter to be able to
use the set overseas (Hey Chris). When I got back, I realized that I wouldn't
ever need the adapter again and the good folks at EcoCharge swapped it out for
a second battery.
So I have this to offer:
(2) ecocharge sealed lead-acid batteries that are fully charged (6 volts each)
(1) wall wart adapter/smart charger that cuts off automatically when it's
done charging, and
(1) small pouch to hold the adapter
The set retails for $200 with one battery, but you will get two with my set.
That's great to have if you are doing a long show like coventry. Each battery
comes with it's own adapter head. One battery has the dual adapter for a
DAT/SBM-1 combo or two DATs/SBM-1s, and the other battery just has the single
adapter.
This is a great set to use with a walkman, too, and it might even work with a
portable DVD player as well (don't know their voltage).
There are no problems with the set as far as I know of, other than one minor
thing I will point out to the buyer (not a big deal, will not affect the
performance).
I would like $100 for the set, obo. Shipping will probably be around $10 in
the US via UPS. Please e-mail me with any questions.
Thanks,
Wes
