I asked a friend if he could convert it to NTSC. He said "sure". 2 months ago I heard how great the disc is, only the copy he burned in his Plextor 708 bourner, won't play in my Toshiba 3750. So, I tried to make an image of his disc using my Pioneer burner, and burn that image back to a DVD-R, which is what my Toshiba manual says it plays. My DVD player was about $200 2 and a half years ago. I haven't used it a hell of a lot, but it seems to have problems with a fair number of DVD-R discs. I have an extended warranty on it, so I'm going to take it to Best Buy where I bought it., and have them service it. Meantime I found a new Toshiba 4900 that plays both PAL and NTSC DVD's on ebay for $129. After trying a million things, wasting about 20 blanks, and a couple of months of frustration, now I'll have a high end deck that should do everything. I looked around on the internet and found the same model for up to $249. It should do the job, no hacks, nothing, right out of the box, I'll find out. Keith

From: "Mike Vescovo" <shackaholic@hotmail.com> Subject: Free: ZA2 soundcard (almost) Date: Sat, 21 Aug 2004 15:58:11 -0500 Hey, I've just got an unused ZA2 sitting around here that I don't need, so I'm going to give it away for maybe 5-10 DAT's of MMW or some other good jazz type stuff. I don't want $, just some music. Email me offlist and we'll set something up if anyone is interested. I originally bought it when I was trying to get my DAT transfer setup, but like a moron, the computer I intended to use it for didn't have the right slots or OS so that's why it's just sitting around. I bought it about 6 months ago, and have never used it. Mike _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Cranks like 100watt solid state, but if you are worried about how loud an amp like this plays, then its probably not your cup of tea. FWIW, it plays plenty loud in my listening room of 24' x 17' and drives my giant Von Schweikert VR4 speakers purrrfectly.
