I use the Energizer 9Vs and can easily run more than 3 hours. I was on the Dylan/Willy tour and could tape the entire night on one set of batteries, which is about 3 - 3:30 hours. If I used my rechargeables, I'd have to switch before Bob hit the stage. Since I see you mention mics, I am running the Schoeps mk41 and my box is modded into a Lemosax. Hope this helps you out... Anyone have experience using NiMh batteries? I gather it depends on the current consumption of the mic's as to how long your batteries last. So far, I have yet to run out of juice running alkalines at 3 hours or less but the unit seems to hit the 14-12V range rather quickly without much consistency. Anyone run outboard batteries? Either 12V or 24V with a doubling circuit? tia, Adam ____________________ "The worst tape pulled is still much better than a good day at work." ------------------------------ From: John Reynolds Subject: Lost Hendrix Found Date: Sat, 18 Sep 2004 14:16:10 -0400 Don=92t we wish this sort of thing could happen every day? Tape of Hendrix Stockholm Concert Found=20 STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Technicians at Sweden's public television have unearthed an unexpected delight for music lovers =97 a complete original recording of a Jimi Hendrix concert in Stockholm from 1969 on a tape long thought to have been destroyed.=20 =A0 The unmarked tape was recently found stashed on a shelf deep inside the station's enormous archives during a project to transfer archived material from tape and film to digital, SVT spokeswoman Catarina Wilson said Friday.=20 "They looked through the tape and found it had some Jimi Hendrix," Wilson said. "Then they saw it had a lot of Jimi Hendrix =97 the entire concert, which is what makes this tape unique."=20 The black-and-white recording from Stockholm's concert hall was ordered destroyed by a producer in 1969, a time when it was too expensive to keep all raw footage, Wilson said.=20 Hendrix died in 1970.=20 Wilson said it was likely that one of the state-run network's workers, perhaps a Hendrix fan, stashed it on the shelf, where it sat for 35 years gathering dust.=20 Part of the 56-minute concert was broadcast on SVT in 1969, before the Jimi Hendrix Experience disbanded, but it has never been shown in its entirety. SVT is determining if it still has the rights to show the entire broadcast of the concert.=20 "Of course we realize that this is great material that we would love to show," Wilson said.=20 ------------------------------ From: Mark Domyancich Subject: ISO: Brandon Milner Date: Sat, 18 Sep 2004 14:02:16 -0500 If Brandon Milner (who had the addresses brandobean@hotmail.com and bmilner@netcom.com) is still on this list, would you please email me back?
