I bought it about 3 years ago. I had problems playing tapes when I first got it. Shortly thereafter I sent it to Paul at Pro Digital. I had them go through the deck and put everything in at least original condition. Paul said there are a few weak links in the deisgn of that model, and fixed them. Since I recieved the deck back, it has played tapes flawlessly. I also have a DA 20 Mk II and a PCM R-500 here, and this deck hasn't played back 20 tapes since I got it back from Paul. It has done no recording. If I can get a reasonable price for this deck, I will test the recording and guarantee the deck for 30 days. I have the remote control and the owners manual for the deck. I would like to get $200 for the deck, plus $15 for shipping, via Fed Ex or UPS ground. Thanks, Keith ------------------------------ From: "Schofield, William" Subject: ISO: Franz Ferdinand, The Hives Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 07:04:17 -0400 I'm looking for copies of the following shows:=20 =A0=20 Franz Ferdinand: 02-25-2004 TT The Bears Boston, MA=20 Franz Ferdinand: 06-16-2004 Avalon Boston, MA=20 The Hives: 07-23-2004 Avalon Boston, MA (maybe even the PCM-M1 source)=20 And a long stretch...=20 Melvins: 09-15-04 Middle East Cambridge, MA=20 Thanks!=20 Bill S=20 ------------------------------ From: tesla69@threelobed.com Subject: Re: Ghost tour Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 08:34:15 -0700 (PDT) >rom: "DRider" >Subject: Re: Ghost tour >Date: Fri, 17 Sep 2004 06:48:25 -0400 > >Jim, > >Could you please post some more info about this band "Ghost" to the list??? > >1) Are they taping friendly? video friendly? >2) SBD patches available? or just audience taping?? >3) Contact for the band / name of soundman - in case we get hassled at the >door?? >4) website? >5) link to some tunes to give us an idea of what they sound like? Well I'd like to make the recording process effortless for all and I would if I could. I've never had the oportunity to see this band live (well, I tried in 2002 but got stuck on the NYC subway) so I really can't answer 1-3. Since I generally record stealth exclusively (I'm not into asking permission, I have severe issues wth authority) my concern is getting in the club. You can see them on www.dragcity.com, perhaps there is something to listen to there. I suspect they would be flattered. My main reason for posting was to get in touch with those few and far between who are already planning to document this band and remind anyone who didn't know they're playing. There's no transnational corporation behind these guys... Good luck with the Sabbath show you seek, that sounds like it could be real cool. Didn't Halford record an album with those guys years ago that never got released? cheers Jim ------------------------------ From: Hirokazu Hara Subject: 9/18/2004: Farm Aid Date: Tue, 21 Sep 2004 00:38:34 +0900 Hello all Did anyone taped the Neil Young's set? I have a lot of stuff to trade. Hiro ------------------------------ From: "under a black flag" Subject: anyone taped Cure at Curiosa in Phoenix 2004? Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 18:36:55 +0200 Hi Anyone here who taped the Cure show in Phoenix august 2004? Or an other Cure Curiosa show? I have several 2004 shows and older Cure + other Bands stuff for trade. please contact me andreas ------------------------------ From: "MattB" Subject: HABMB in NOLA Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 16:54:51 -0600 I have to be in New Orleans next week for work and as luck would have it Hairy Apes BMX is playing the last night I'm there (but I'll miss Stockholm Syndrome - oh well). It's 10-2-04 at One Eyed Jack's. Just wondering if any of you DAT heads will be there rolling tape. I'd like to tape it, but I can only bring so much stuff on this trip. So if someone's got it covered, that's great and I can travel with less gear. I may also be just bringing a smaller "travel rig" and looking to clamp (to a stand, railing, or whatever) or even just patching if possible. Anyone going to this? Should be good! TIA! Matt ------------------------------ From: "William J. LaPier" Subject: FS: Sony D8 and Oade Passive 7pin Cable--$275 shipped Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 15:50:45 -0700 hey, since i sold my rig i haven't been to a show. last show i taped was new monsoon 3-2-04. the d8 i'm selling has maybe 10hrs. i bought it from someone on ebay--they said it was a demo and i could return it if i wasn't satisfied. i bought it and immediately sent it to paul at pro-digital. he gave it the once over--concurred that the deck may have had less than 5 hrs as the seller said. paul said the heads looked "brand new". i taped new monsoon in hoodriver 3-2-04 and did a dat to pc transfer. so maybe 10hrs total time on the heads. the deck did come with a pleather case and a box and a manual, but i must have included those with another d8 i sold a while back. i can't seem to find the box. the oade passive 7 pin is included. just to move this--how about $275.00 shipped ups ground insured. bill ------------------------------ From: "hzgone" Subject: Gear for Sale Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 21:10:50 -0600 Apogee Mini-Me- In great shape some minor scratches on it.
