Looking through old digests I see mention of buying a 12V- battery from
Batteries Plus as a low-cost alternative to Eco-Charge batteries. Does
anyone know what model of battery I'd need to power a DA-P1? And does
the battery need to be modified to accomodate the power cable for the
DA-P1? I don't mind paying for the special power cable, but if the
battery and charger costs approx. 1/10 the cost of an Eco-Charge it's a
no brainer.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone on this list has had any success in using a
Digigram VXPocket (V2) card with an IPAQ PDA for recording through ALSA with
the Familiar Linux distribution?
Cheers,
Sool

Hi all,
I cant get out of here in time to get this. The
Thrills are playing on 89.9 KCRW Santa Monica in about
10 mins. I cant make it home to pop a tape in and
prefer a signal sourced recording. LOTS to trade by
hundreds of bands including their in store Monday
night at M-Theory Records in San Diego. I also need
their broadcast from earlier this year (bad reception)
and last year.
THanks!

Hey now folks...
you're all invited to come to my new message board.
its a GD message board, but all topics are welcome. This came to be as
a matter of necessity from my years as a rec.music.gdead regular. So
many good people, sooooo much crap to wade through. usenet, being
obsolete as it is, needed some sort of moderation. I think boards like
these are the way to go.
so, if you want yet another board to lurk on..com on in.
registration is mandatory if you want to post. guests are free to browse.

GDT stands for "grateful dead talk"
but I call the forum RMGD-2
its a little more involved than an email list. But the level of
involvement is up 2 u.
:)
thanks for stopping by...

i experienced my first wanked CDR the other day, i left the disc on
my desk at work and i get some sun in there (but not direct blaring by
any means). it was an Imation CDR and the silver top turned brownish and
the disc plays with errors (not skips, just light diginoise frequently)
i'm fairly certain it was UVs and not heat that did it, but can't say
for sure.
