Did anyone else tape last night? Had to stand up during Annie Lennox's set
& my cable came out so I lost about 10>15 minutes of it. Sting turned out
fairly decent but I was pretty far away. Nice to listen to if you were
there but definately not amazing FOB stuff. Any help is appreciated. Chris

Subject: Jethro Tull - November Tour
Date: Fri, 8 Oct 2004 14:07:35 -0700 (PDT)
Hello!
Jethro Tull will be in the US in November for a short 18 date
tour. As promised below, the show will feature two sets, one
leaning towards the acoustic songs, the other more rock. Also
promised is a set list with rarely played live songs.
I'll be attending (and taping) the first four shows of the tour.
I'm looking for tapers who can cover the rest!
Schedule at www.jethro-tull.com.
Tapers, please get in touch!!
>Well, Tull treads the boards again in North America this November with
>a two-part show in some of the finest Performing Arts Centers and
>concert halls our road crew have ever known.
>
>The first set features a plethora of the more acoustic works from over
>the years. Some familiar, some less so. Some never even played before
>at a theater near you!
>
>See the band close up at the front of the stage. Check out the live
>chipmunk in Doane Perry's pants. Watch the beads of unplugged sweat
>glisten on the end of the Barre proboscis. Marvel at how we managed to
>persuade Giddings to play so much Squeezy Thing. Discover the long
>furrow on Noyce's never-ending brow as he makes it all look so
>difficult.... Spot the congenitally bent and largely disfunctional
>pinkie on my right hand and wonder why there aren't even more E flats
>left hanging in the flutey ether.
>
>The second set is the electric "Rock" set with, again, some material
>not yet played live. We have some lost delights from the Aqualung
>album to schedule into the shows as things progress, like Hymn 43,
>Slipstream and Up To Me - none of which ever has ever been played
>since the original recording in 1971.
>
>And of course, there will be a couple of solo album numbers and a few
>things from the Tull Christmas album to set the seasonal mood.
>
>The set changes by a song or two most nights so there are always some
>surprises. Sometimes I even surprise myself.
>
>Hope to see you all for a show or two. Wear something nice and bring a
>friend.......
>
>Ian Anderson

Hi,
I wrote and send a post yesterday, but it bounced? I hope.
Looking for any tapers of the following shows.
Bright Eyes, Jim James, and M. Ward
10.08 Fort Worth TX, Ridglea Theater
10.09 Austin TX, Paramount Thratre
10.12 Las Vegas NV, House of Blues
10.13 San Diego CA, Spreckles Theatre
10.14 Los Angeles CA, Orpheum Theatre
10.15 Berkley CA, Zellerbacj Auditorium
10.16 Portland OR, Roseland Theatre
10.18 Seattle WA, Moore Theatre
10.19 Vancouver BC, Commodore Ballroom
I taped the Minneapolis show last tour, which I still haven?t circulated, and it was such an amazing show. If anyone is planning on taping any of the bands, I urge you to tape the whole show. They collaborate with each other throughout most of the show. The show will also be continues until the encore, which in Minneapolis was about two hours in. Bring a three hour tape, unless you want to switch.
Also, I just taped Bright Eyes and M. Ward on Monday at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis. I?d love to trade for any of the above shows.
Thanks!
Joel

>> Tiger Direct (the only place I looked thus far) has 4 GB CF cards for
>> = $340 and 2 GB cards for $169.
I know some of the newer models have been reworked... However, I remember
seeing threads on Fatwallet a few months back saying there were a couple of
4gig MP3 players that could be dismantled to reveal a removable 4gig CF
card. One was the creative muvo. Search the fatwallet forums for the exact
model but if lucky you may find the 4gig player in the <$200 range. Also...
Be careful if you get these models off of ebay as the 4gig CF can be swapped
out for a smaller one and then resold.
Just doing a quick fatwallet search I see a sandisk 2 gig for $110 after
rebates and such.

Does anybody out there have a clean copy of this show on DAT (or cdr
if I can't find a DAT)? My copy has numerous instances of diginoise.
Would love to have a clean copy. Have much MMW and other stuff to
offer in return.
Thanks,
Mike

Here's the message:
i'm going to see the band alter bridge in concert at the end of
october and would like to get the shows taped. i don't have the equipment to
do it myself, yet...and i won't be able to get it in time for the
shows. the shows are on october 26th in anaheim at the HOB, october 28th in
hollywood at the HOB, and october 29th in vegas at the HOB. i was just
wondering if someone would be kind enough to tape the shows for me. if
you live in the area, i will pay for your ticket...it should be a great
concert with some killer rock bands. one of the opening acts,
submersed, i would like to get taped too. but, if only one band can be done,
i
would rather it be alter bridge. if you can/want to help me with this,
please email me at Tremonti32@yahoo.com

I'm looking for some of the Led Zeppelin 1980 soundboards, particularly
Dave's transfers (1st gen cassettes>DAT). Would prefer to work something =
out
with someone who got his DAT copies directly from Dave but will be happy =

Is anyone willing to do video and/or audio at this show? I can pay for all
expenses:
"VELVET REVOLVER are planning a free rooftop show on the West
Hollywood Sunset Strip around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12. The
exact location of the show is expected to be announced early next
week.
In other news, VELVET REVOLVER want their fans to vote for the
group's next single. You can now pick any song that wasn't released
as a single yet and cast your vote on the band's official web site."
Please contact me asap.
