I have an extra copy of the July '93 Milan show burned for a trade that
didn't pan out.
It's two CDs and the source is sbd. There is a little bit of hiss, so I
think there was an analog generation or two somewhere along the line,
but the sound quality is very good, and the playing is smokin'!
Will trade for any HQ jazz.
peace,
Donald

Hello,
I'm looking for tapers for the HOOBASTANK shows below. They are currently on their first European tour.Since very few tapers normally tapes this rock band I would be willing to cover ticket and blanks costs for a couple of tapers who could help taping any of the shows below.Tickets are only 20 EURO each and they are only playing for 75-80 min.I know where to get tickets for the shows below so that won't be any problem.
Here are the shows:
HOOBASTANK:
10.10 Georg Elser Halle Munich, Germany
10.11 Longhorn Stuttgart
10.12 Live Music Hall Cologne
10.13 Batschkapp Frankfort, Germany
10.15 Columbia Fritz Berlin
10.16 Markthalle Hamburg
10.18 Klubben Stockholm
10.20 Pumpehuset Copenhagen, Denmark
10.22 Zeche Bochum, Germany
10.23 Botanique Rotunda Brussels
10.24 013 Tilburg
10.26 Guildhall Southampton
10.27 Rock City Nottingham
10.28 Forum London
10.29 Academy Manchester
10.30 Academy Birmingham
btw, their smash hit ballad "The reason" is not representative for their music style. It's high energy rock in the alternative rock genre. Please email me directly to: duxous@email.com if you could be willing to tape any show on the list above.I'm also looking for trades for the past shows on their tour.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Kimmo

Subject: audiophile 2496 and foobar questions

i'm wondering if anyone who uses an m-audio audiophile 2496 and foobar
(either together or separately) can help me out.
i just installed one in my pc which is used strictly for the playback of
16/44.1, 24/48, and 24/96 audio. i am sending s/pdif to an external 24/96
dac. i also use foobar and winamp (still trying to decide between the two)
to play the files, which are usually shn or flac, but the ocassional wav
gets played, too.
in foobar, do i have to change the output data format (in preferences) for
each different file type i want to play? meaning, if i play a 16/44.1 file,
do i have to select 16bit, and when i play a 24/48 file, do i have to select
24bit?
now, in the m-audio delta control panel, in the hardware settings tab, there
is a section called codec sample rate. what is this? if i have the output
data format in foobar selected to 24bit, the codec sample rate automatically
switches to 32,000 upon playing a file. i can play a 16/44.1 file or a 24/48
file and it stays on 32,000. if i click the "rate locked" option, i can
switch it to whatever i want. when i change it i hear the click of a relay
or something in my dac which makes it seem like the dac is locking on to the
new sample rate.
i should note that i dont want anything to up or down sample. if i play a
24/96 file i want 24/96 to go to my dac. if i play a 16/44.1 file i want
16/44.1 to go to the dac. i guess that is the whole point of this post.
how do i make sure of this?
i would really appreciate any help.
thanks,
Kevin
