Hey gang,
Sorry to go, but I've gotten to the point where I don't really read the
digest anymore, so I'm pulling the plug. However, I can't seem to get off
the list! Following the instructions at the end of every digest doesn't
work, i.e.,
"To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to
dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net "
Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks one last time,
Ryan

I am looking to see if there were any tapers for the Beastie Boys show at
the Patriot Center, Fairfax, VA October 8, 2004? I'd be really interested in
a good quality recording.
Lots to trade.

Since sellers are not allowed to sell cdr's of music, you can just bid
to win and not pay or report it to ebay using this link:

I've heard that you can just bid ridiculously high, so that you outbid
everyone else, and then contact ebay and tell them the item you won was a
bootleg and you don't have to pay and the bootlegger gets nothing. I've
never done it, but I've seen it suggested on another board.

Creative has switched the microdrive used in the MuVo^2 to one that has no
standard CF interface, just an IDE interface.
This makes it unsuitable for use in cameras (which is mostly what people
were using them for). Now I don't know, but it may also make it unsuitable
for this recorder too. Someone will probably need to look further into it.
There may still be old stock with the standard microdrive available
somewhere. The way to know which one is if it comes with a little belt clip
case. That case only comes with the old drive.

The "Vote for Change" concert from Washington DC will be
broadcast in different forms on Sundance channel and Sirus Radio
today.
The Sundance broadcast starts at 6:30pm ET (delayed to 6:30pm
PT for people with west-coast cable TV), and repeats at 11:45pm.
That suggests a running time of 5hrs 15mins. But could it run over?
The Sundance version is not just the concert, or perhaps not the
complete concert, as it also features extensive documentary
footage shot earlier in the tour by famous filmmakers Albert
Maysles and D.A. Pennebaker. The live concert is directed by Joel
Gallen of MTV fame.
Sundance channel can be received by most people who are getting
Showtime. Sundance also features the Al Franken radio show
every day at 11:30pm, 2:30am, and 7am.
Sirius will carry the concert live on channel 18, which can also be
received on Dish Network channel 6018. Sirius calls it a 4-hour
concert and doesn't really say what time it starts.
It will also be broadcast on a number of FM stations, including
KPFA 94.1 in San Francisco. They list the time as 8pm-Mid PT,
but that's got to be delayed... so is the real time 8pm-Mid ET?
Bands expected to play include:
Springsteen, Pearl Jam, R.E.M., DMB, Jackson Brown, Dixie
Chicks, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, James Taylor, Bonnie
Rait, and Keb' Mo'. I gather that some of them play at the same
time.
Good luck!
