From: Stefan Morosky <stefanmorosky@sbcglobal.net> Subject: Re:live audio for sale on fleabay Date: Thu, 14 Oct 2004 22:00:34 -0700 (PDT) I knew a guy who got his stuff pulled off ebay. He told me ebay isn't really looking for this stuff, it only gets pulled because someone complains to ebay about it,then they move in and take action. Alerting a artist management that this stuff is being sold can get things put to a stop also.
From: "Music Head" <musichead@comcast.net> Subject: ISO: Genesis 12/1/74 Baltimore Lamb Reply-To: <musichead@comcast.net> Date: Fri, 15 Oct 2004 09:33:05 -0400 I'm looking for a copy of a Genesis show from Baltimore (the Lyric theater?), 12/1/74 on DAT or CDR as a gift for my husband's birthday (shhh!). I have a varied and considerable list (though not too heavy on the Prog Rock) and would be happy to do a trade. This was my husband's first Genesis show, and maybe his first live show, too. Many of our friends were also there - guess it was a big event in these parts - so I'd love to be able to give him a copy. I've sent some other feelers out, but with no response. Can you help?
From: "Clint" <clint@distortiononline.com> Subject: ISO: Velvet Revolver 10-13-04 Date: Fri, 15 Oct 2004 09:09:31 -0700 Velvet Revolver did a free show in a lot in Hollywood the other day, was hoping it was taped as I had to work. If anyone made it, please let me know. Thanks Clint clint<at>distortiononline<dot>com
From: "Joe Mc." <energyi@mccabe.net> Subject: X-Y and Straight Ahead mic positioning Date: Fri, 15 Oct 2004 12:16:10 -0700 Dear DAT-heads: Recently taped two shows back to back, first was X-Y pattern, had a nice warm feeling, but got too much of the room; then I pointed to the stage stacks, about 50 feet back from the stage, mics approximately pointing straight ahead . Any way to use software to bring more warmth into the recording in a post production process? Nak 300's (#2 caps) > D8. Thank in advance for any ideas. JoE
From: "Fares Halteh" <Halteh3@Rogers.com> Subject: FS: mod sbm1 Date: Fri, 15 Oct 2004 19:29:23 -0400 -1 Modified Sony SBM-1. This SBM1 has the Oade line stage rebuild ($250 value) and the Coax connector in place of the 7 pin (about a $90 value iirc). The box kix ass for mic taping or any analog to digital work for that matter. It's in great condition, but has lost it's plastic "on" switch. This is purely cosmetic and can still be turned on if you have long enough nails or a toothpic. Problem can probably be easily fixed, i just haven't had the time for it. This also comes with the original box and a very nice leather carry case that holds a dat deck and the sbm1. I'm looking for $550 shipped. Preferably through a money order but I'd be willing to do pay pal if you cover the fees. Email me at Halteh3@rogers.com if you are interested. --Fares Halteh
