At the October 9th show in Charlotte, no board feeds were given. A
friend who has been getting board feeds for Hornsby for years, could
not get one, and said that apparently it was going to be audience
only from now on.
Hope this helps, Michael

The only thing I found was the Butterfield listed as Sept 1971 on my
friend's list. He is an old-time taper as I am, so I'd bet on his
date. I had three of those shows on reel from my original tapes off
the radio.

Subject: Question: 1970/71 WPLJ concerts from A & R Studios

A question for any old timers who listened or recorded concerts off WPLJ in
NYC in the early 1970s.
In late 1970 sometime, WPLJ began simulcasting live concerts from within A &
R Recording Studios at 112 West 48th Street. The Singer (sewing machines, etc)
Company sponsored these live simulcasts. I was told this series lasted one
year total and the simulcasts occurred once a month. (This is confirmed by
announcements made on some of the broadcasts.) The following are the six
broadcasts that I like so much and got me so interested in this series:
December 1970(?) Butterfield Blues Band (listed as Sept 1971 in some places)
March 30, 1971 Seatrain
April 12, 1971 Procol Harum
June 30, 1971 Tracy Nelson & Mother Earth
July 22, 1971 Delaney & Bonnie & Friends
August 26, 1971 Allman Brothers Band
All six of these are great performances and outstanding quality, especially
for that time. They invited great bands who were off the beaten path, so I'm
extremely curious-- Who else did these A & R simulcasts circa 1970/71? The
other six simulcasts are a complete mystery. Does anyone here know of
or actually
have any of the others? Knowing what they are seems like a good place to
start looking. Any information welcome! Stu

I am looking to trade for other high quality Interpol
masters. I taped them last night in Philly, and will
tape them once more this week, a total of 6 masters...
DPA 4061, Sony M1.

This is my third time weeding through my collection, most likely my last. =
I have 337 DATs, mostly 90 meter Maxell, Sony, KAO. Plus 80 CDs. I'd =
like to get $2.00 a DAT, and $1.00 a CD. Great way to build up your =
collection, some hard to find stuff in here, all but a few of the tapes =
have printed J-Cards with setlists and all recording info, all the CDs =
have cover art. I'd like to sell these all to one person for $750. Will =
consider other offers, but won't split into a small bunch here and there.
