Those who record do have some rights to their works if it is somehow
deemed public domain, they can sell the tape.
There was a show on PBS a few night ago with film footage of NYC from
1909 or 1906. This stuff is rare. If the "taper" had not shared this,
I would not have had the opportunity to see it. If you tape a show and
don't share it, when your "stuff" is placed in a dumpster (after you
die), nobody else will hear it. I have posted some shows on STG/EZT
that many folks have thanked me profusely for since they were not born
back then and there are not a lot of tapes from that time period.
Loosen up and let the music flow.

Hey Live Music Fanatics:
I got through two concerts on my PCM Beta digital masters to cdr and my Sony
Beta SL-810D player broke down. You see........"if you don't use it you loose
it". Does anyone out there have a working Sony Beta player to sell, trade or
borrow for a bunch of live recordings? It does not have to be a HI-FI unit. All
my originals were recorded on the Sony Beta SL-2000 portable unit. I have about
75 more shows to go. "Original Master Recordings"

As a seasoned taper and trader, I've seen a couple DVD items that really
caught my eye, and want to get started trading DVDs like I have traded
first cassettes, then DAT tapes, and the CDR... now hopefully DVD. Is there
a program like EAC except for DVD? Direct me (and probably others) to the
right forum for these matters.
Thank you all,
Jonathan

Shane:
I don't know what software you are using these days to extract, but I
believe that most common packages (sound forge, cool edit, etc.) will
allow you to record multitrack from a variety of sources--including from
individual channels from S/PDIF. Instead of setting up a single stereo
track to record the feed from your S/PDIF, set up two mono tracks and
set the source for the first track to be the right channel and the
source from the second track to be the left channel. Once transfered,
mix it down to a single track. You may need to do some more processing
to get a CD compliant .wav file (44.1 two channel).

Hello,
It seems that all the Bruce Springsteen sets were recorded on this
brief tour. Just wondering if anyone happened to tape the
aforementioned opening act? I have several Bright Eyes masters
available if anyone has their set.
Chris
