yeah grant its pretty straight forward you just have 2 remember that it
all needs to b in a dvd format (ac3 works best 4me)
heres a guide 2do it, u can make them as elaborate (menus & visuals) as
u want, yer just tracking them as "chapters"

kinda a broad ? but this/these answers 'may' help.
extracting video from a dvd can b done w/ lots of "freeware" programs
(dvd decrypter) that if u dont want any quality loss must b extracted as
.vob files (standard dvd file) then u can extract the mpeg file from
that (w/ still no quality loss) then use 1 of MANY conversion & editing
tools2 achieve the desired format & quality/size u want 2work w/. i hate
2type whats been done b4 so try the below sites:
doom9.com & videohelp.com r gr8 places 2start
both have gr8 forums also

Just saw and taped the Arcade Fire last night in Denver and I have to say
they are incredible. There sound is hard to describe but sounds something
like
Weezer/Sugarcubes/The Cure/Joy Division/Talking Heads mix. Any who if you
can get tickets I would strongly suggest catching them. Also please let me
know if you are able to tape and I will be willing to trade for the Denver
show. They are taper friendly.
They are already featured on Rolling Stones website and will definitely be
big in the near future so catch them now at small clubs while you can.

I dont use a jb3 anymore (though I did for over a year w/o any issues).
the hosa comes in various models depending on what format you want to
convert. aes>coax, aes>toslink, coax > aes, coax toslink...etc.
go to fullcompass.com and check them out.
try google or something. I dont have the specific model number on hand,
so you'll have to research that one yourself.
the hosa is the only one that i'm aware of that doesn't drop samples and
has been confirmed bit-accurate.
they run about $50.
taperssection.com has a great JB3 FAQ put together by folks using these
units. all the info and resources you could possibly need.
