Date: Fri, 10 Dec 2004 23:43:31 -0500 Went to Godsmack last night, at a "theater" I have been to many times, and the security was using hand held wands in the "guys" line, but none in the "womens" line. I have been to this venue many times, and the 1st time I have seen detectors. I did have it go off with the VMS, and the guy said "cell phone" and I said "yes" and that was the end of it. Just remain calm, and tell security what they want to hear, and you should be all set with the hand wands. Walk-thrus..... make friends with security in advance and get the gear in before hand. As an alternative I'm searching for a broken HD-S200 - for a reasonable price, of course. Please email me off list for offers. Date: Sat, 11 Dec 2004 16:02:42 -0500 Hey all, This is a little off-topic, but what the heck... I'd like to get an mpeg player for my wife, since I told her she could use my D7 for jogging (as part of the justification for getting it!), and of course that went out the window as soon as I held it in my hand (and saw how many parts it has!)... Anyway, she wanted a new CD player or Walkman for jogging and excercise, but all the ones I've seen lately are such junk that I feel like I'd be buying a "disposable" product... SO, think,think,think...hey, how about an MPEG player... solid state, slick, modern, chic, all that, and maybe it won't break in the first three weeks. Any suggestions? I'd like to spend less than $100 (but Ebay would be okay), she won't worry about new/used.... I'm thinking one which will take memory cards would be good, as I could then give her a selection of music she could choose from (or maybe there will be plenty of on-board memory)...I'm thinking she'd be happy with 10-12 CDs to choose from when she goes jogging... Also, do any of them play shn (is that the "loss-less" compression folks use? I've never used compressed files...) Last thing, anybody know Ryan Kennedy of Ft. Collins CO? Any contact info would be helpful. Replies off-line are fine.... Merry Christmas!
