Suchak") ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Bob Haas Subject: DAT items for sale + some freebies! Date: Sun, 19 Dec 2004 22:01:57 -0500 I have come to the unfortunate realization that I no longer have time for my DAT hobby. Therefore, I am offering the following items. Sony PCM-M1 - $400 + shipping Purchased new from Masterpiece A/V in 07/2000 for $665 (have receipt). Excellent condition. No functional flaws. Several small, barely visible scratches. Approximate usage: 100 hours (no 90m tapes!) Includes: - Original box, manual, case, cleaning tape - Original AC adapter, battery charger, batteries - Extended warranty through 08/2005 (originally purchased for $100, transferable for $10, have paperwork) - Oade active cable purchased new in 12/2000 for approximately $150 Pictures: http://cs.widener.edu/~haas/DATFS/M1.html TASCAM DA-20MKII - $300 + shipping Purchased new from Terrapin Tapes in 03/2000 for $685. Excellent condition. No cosmetic or functional flaws. Approximate usage: 200 hours (less than 20 hours of 90m tape usage) Includes - Original box, manual, rack-mount brackets, remote controller Pictures: http://cs.widener.edu/~haas/DATFS/DA.html Sony TCD-D8 - $0 + shipping Purchased used in 1999. The deck works, but it has a tendency to eat tapes. Includes - Core Sound 7-pin right angle cable purchased new in 1999 for $65 - Homemade (by previous owner) padded case - Homemade D-cell battery "sled" Box full of DATs - $0 + shipping Everything on my list (as long as I can find it :/) plus some others that I acquired since I stopped updating the list in 2002. http://cs.widener.edu/~haas/music/DAT_list.txt I would prefer to send all of the tapes to a single person, but I may be willing to split the collection somewhat. Please don't ask me for a single show. :) Thanks and feel free to contact me for more information. For those who do not know him, Nels Cline plays a huge range of improvised and written music, with a wide assortment of pedals and devices, for sound ranging from purely classical to the most screaming metal. He's also a really good "songwriter" of non-verbal songs. Nels is also very taper friendly and will allow mics on stage, video, sbd (which I wouldn't recommend without precautions to get guitar in the mix)!, etc. Also playing Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve with Wilco! Nels is also doing quite a few gigs in San Fran/Berkeley early next year, and of course, gigs in LA and even one right here in Culver City.
