Is anyone in the US planning on taping Allan Holdsworth's upcoming US
dates? Most of them are on the east coast, I think. Then he's heading
to Europe and beyond. Any tapers overseas?? See
therealallanholdsworth.com for dates.
I'm thinking of going to the Cleveland show (1/10/05), and I'd love
to hear from other people who may be seeing his shows as well.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hello all,
My DTC-59ES recently went belly-up and it appears to be prohibitively
expensive to repair. I put it up on EBay for parts, along with the =
service
manual, users manual, and remote control.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=3D1&item=3D574174134
I would like to buy a replacement deck. I sometimes see a DTC-690, -700, =
or
-790 pop up on EBay. Any comments on these decks or how they compare to =
the
59ES and 75ES? In particular, are there any models that should be =
avoided
due to known reliability or performance problems?
Thanks in advance.

I have Taraf De Haidouks' one and only Tokyo show last October
and the last show from Naseer Shamma's Japan tour last December.
Both tapes have turned out excellent, so I think it would be great
to share them with those interested.

Naseer Shamma:

I am looking for high quality recordings of Hindustani/Roma(Gypsy)/
Arabian music. MD with mono sound and auto level adjustment is not
a good idea at all.
