Hello
I still have the following equipment for sale. It absolutely has to
go! Make me an offer. If I get no responses it's going to ebay this
weekend. I would rather it go to a taper but it has to go.....
MICROTECH GEFELL M210 MICS (ONE PAIR) - I purchased these new from Oade
Bros. Audio. I have the original wooden boxes they came in. One box
is signed by Warren Haynes.
OADE BROS. AUDIO M248 MIC PRE / PHANTOM POWER SUPPLY - this is the
original killer mic pre I purcased from the Oades. It has had a new
battery installed and was used only a few times after the new battery
was installed. You can check these out at
http://www.oade.com/audiocenter/product.html
MIC CABLES - One pair Pro Links Studio Pro 1000 XLR -> XLR approx. 14ft
long
PREAMP TO RECORDER CABLES - C.B.I. Preformer Series cable with an XLR
pair on one end and an RCA pair
on the other
AUDIO-TECHNICA SHOCK MOUNTS AT8410a - one pair, these have cosmetic
wear but are 100% functional
The Microtech Gefell mics, preamp, and cables makes a complete killer
taping rig minus the recording deck. It made many great recordings and
I hate to sell it. If anyone wants the whole thing I have an SKB
hardshell case that I used to carry it that I'll throw in and ship it
in.
Make me an offer on the individual items or the whole thing. I have to
sell these things but I'm not going to give them away so any reasonable
offer will be considered.
Thanks
Karl Kubicka

Subject: Question about home-made 7-pin connector
Date: Fri, 07 Jan 2005 22:39:42 -0500
Hi, wondering if someone can help me with a question about a 7-pin->Coax
connector I have.
When I was shopping portables in ~2000, I bought 3 ... a barely used D7,
a new D8 and a new M1. I got the D7 from an ebay auction and it came
with what looks like a home-made or custom-made 7-pin -> Coax cable. I
ended up selling the D7 and D8 units, and keeping the M1 and the cable.
From the labels on the individual parts, the 7-pin looks somewhat crude,
the cable itself is 1-ft Pasternack coaxial cable
(http://www.pasternack.com/) and there is a nice gold-plated coax jack.
I seem to remember hearing that the D7/D8 family required a different
7-pin cable from the D100/M1 family? Is this true? Something tells me it
was the difference between active/passive but I can't remember.
Anyway, my whole point is that I want to dump some DATs to my PC with
the M1 and this cable and I want to make sure it's the right cable
before I waste all this time. I did a simple test just by dumping a DAT
or two and I cannot tell the difference between the original DAT and the
CD that I burned following the transfer. I don't have the equipment to
do real scientific tests.
Does anyone have any information for me?
Thanks.

That's it. One needs amplification for recording. I don't think
there's any difference in the outgoing side.

If it fails, it fails catastrophically: no signal at all. You'd know.

I know this has come up before but I still don't know the answer...
What do people think of 90 minute CDs, and where do they get
them?
thanks--

What makes you think it came from him? Did you trace back the IP
address it came from? All modern worms forge the sender.
