D100 Date: Mon, 10 Jan 2005 10:29:42 +0100 (CET) Thanks for the comparison Brian... However it seems Creative do not support the JB3 anymore ! Indeed, I had a JB3 40Gb I specifically purchased to tape. It lasted 4 shows (2 x And Also The Trees and 2 x The Cure), and then surrendered (possibly hard disk problem). Creative Labs support could not fix the HD, it seems they do not manufacture it anymore ? I insisted I purchased the JB3 to record audio, that I would take it back even with a new drive, but they ended up sending me their Zen JB 60Gb... ! I won 20Gb, but lost the ability to record audio... I'm really disapointed... So if any of you has a JB3, I wish you good luck with it, hoping it will never run out of order :-( Bruno Découvrez le nouveau Yahoo! Mail : 250 Mo d'espace de stockage pour vos mails ! Date: Mon, 10 Jan 2005 11:30:15 +0100 (CET) Hi there, as you might see in my answer to Brian ("COMP: Nomad JB3 v. D100"), it seems (?) now clear Creative Labs do not support the JB3 anymore. Has any of you had the experience to tape with the other hard disk recorders around (WAV 44 ou 48Khz format !) ? How about the Archos Gmini400 ? Anyone has tested it with good microphones like Sonics or even OKMiiR ? Are pre-amp necessary then ? Thanks for any comments... Bruno Découvrez le nouveau Yahoo! If "David Lindley" Googles this and reads this: here me NOW. We did not kill Jery Garcia, a battle with highly addictive drugs did.... and he tried hard as hell to make it stop. You, David Lindley, should take a look at yourself..... and reconsider, before you break down, too..... Cheers, Matt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I've narrowed it down to the Etymotic ER-4, Shure E3 or Sennheiser HD-280 pro. The Sennheisers are closed cup over the ear that claim 32 db's of isolation. The shure's are in ear similar to the Etymotics. Has anyone compared these 3 or any combination? The Sennheisers are the only ones I could find stocked locally so comparing the three could be tough. Guitar Center stocks some Hearos that look very similar and I would guess are made by Etymotic but I wouldnt know the model to compare them to. My guess would be ER6. I'm interested more in isolation than noise cancellation. I'm not sure how they would perform when the noise is a similar signal to what you are sending the headphone. thanks again, Adam ------------------------------ From: Randy Vogel Subject: re: david lindley news Date: Mon, 10 Jan 2005 15:21:31 -0800 Hmmn. I thought David's post (http://www.davidlindley.com/news9.html) was darn reasonable, myself. What's so unreasonable about abiding by the man's wishes? It's not necessary to tape everything, is it? -rand0m ------------------------------ ** FOR YOUR REFERENCE ** To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net If your email address has changed, you may (optionally) send the message to dat-heads-unsubscribe-oldaddress=olddomain@datheads.phish.net and the old address will be removed.
