Hey now.... I was just given 10 gmail invites, if anyone wants one let me
know.  Gmail is the Google www mail service (like yahoo etc) but you get a
gig of storage for your mailbox.  There is even a plugin so that your inbox
acts like a folder in windows explorer.  You can drag and drop file in and
out.  Makes it very easy to share shows with others.

Hi all,
I'm replacing my old computer, which has an Ego-Sys 2496 Waveterminal PCI 
card that I use to transfer DATs to my computer.  Most of the current 
motherboards come with spdif inputs (and sometimes outputs) right on the 
motherboard.  Do I still need the Ego-Sys?

I'm not sure if all/some/most of the motherboards automatically re-sample 
instead of doing a clean pass-through of the bits.  Any suggestions or 
recommendations?  Any particular brands, models or chipsets to look for?

I'm probably going with a home-made desktop but am considering purchasing a 
laptop instead.  Any info is much appreciated.
