Hey all.... I've had quite a few people ask where to get the hard drive
plugin for gmail so I thought I would post the link to the list. You can
find it below.
http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm
I've got enough invites for everyone that asked. I'll do them a little
later today... keep your eyes open.
Stay Kind,
Dana

Subject: WARNING about a new E-Bay identity theft scam...

A WARNING if you use E-bay...
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
There is a new "phishing" scheme (a method of getting your confidential
information for identity theft) that seems to have started in the past week.
Here's how it works:-
You get a message apparently from an E-bay member who asks for your comment
about a seller who received money and did not deliver goods. The sender says
that he was told you had done business with the person and gives a name.
Here is the one I received, although they may vary the message, you get the
idea of how it works.
COPY OF PHISHING MESSAGE:
============================================================================
Hi, I have recently had a bad transaction with an ebay member. Here are his
details: Christopher Keller,3422 Avenue,New York, 10001.I sent him the
payment for an item and it never arrived. Now he wont reply to my emails.
He said he made transactions on ebay before and you are one of his customers.
I have reported the incident to ebat and to the law authoritiesCan you help
me?Do you know this person?
============================================================================
END OF PHISHING MESSAGE
The message gives you a button to click on to respond to the message via
E-bay BUT IT DOES NOT GO TO E-bay... instead it goes to an E-bay look-alike
webpage in the Ukraine where the phisher gathers your E-bay name and Password.
DON'T FALL FOR IT!
Instead, use your browser's "forward" feature to forward the entire message
including headers to E-bay at:-
spoof@ebay.com
They are VERY interested in shutting down these people before they do some
serious damage!

I have about 72 Smashing Pumpkin DAT tapes that I want to sell for $2 a
piece. I've lost interest in the band and the collection, so I'm only asking
$2 to cover the media; not the content on the tapes. Most of these tapes are
Sony and Maxell DDS tapes at 60 and 90 meters in length. I personally
haven't spun any of these tapes in over a year so I am not sure of their
quality, although I have no reason to suspect anything is wrong. If any of
you are interested in the content, the tapes are mainly the year 2000 shows
found on my tape list here: http://members.rogers.com/halteh3/home.html.
If you're interested in any of these tapes drop me an email
Halteh3@Rogers.com
Thanks,

My recording was blown out, much to my surprise, and
the one show I really wanted.
If you taped the Fillmore San Francisco show, and
could do a b&p or trade please let me know.
I'd be up for any show from the current tour,
especially if it has the disco cover.
cheers, matt

SEEKING DAT HEADS The Frank Wakefield Band will be playing in Seattle
WA, Lyons CO, Durango CO and Berkeley CA. We would like to locate DAT
Heads in these areas to DAT the shows. Also, we carry a Sony PD150 and
would like to find someone to run the camera at these venues too. We
will use the resulting video and audio in our "Adventures In
Bluegrass" series. We like it best when we can have 1 or 2 DAT Heads
taping the show with studio grade mics placed on the stage with us and
1 DAT on the board. We cannot pay anything, but you get in as one of
our camera crew and you will also be listed in the credits of these
movies. We have had great results from this approach in the past
finding really great and talented people. If you are interested
please contact me about the arrangements.
