Once again, CVB returns to the stage, they are in fine form and they
allow audience taping any time. Cracker is also taper friendly, as are
Lowery & Hickman. Personally, I would be most appreciative if anyone
can cover the first three dates, since they will be complete CVB shows.
(I suggest running a 3-hour master if possible- they could potentially
run over 2 hours, although it's likely that there would be an encore
break prior to the 2-hour mark, if you think you would need to swap
tapes. )
They will be out west playing the following dates in February 2005:
17 Camper Van Beethoven in Sacramento, Ca- Harlow's $17.50
18 Camper Van Beethoven in Santa Cruz, CA- The Catalyst
19 Camper Van Beethoven in LA, CA- House of Blues
20 David Lowery & Johnny Hickman in San Juan Capistrano, CA- The Coach
House
(They will be performing Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, and Johnny solo
material)
21 David Lowery & Johnny Hickman in Tempe, AZ- Big Fish Pub $15
They will be performing songs from Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, and
Johnny solo material
22 David Lowery & Johnny Hickman in Tucson, AZ- Solar Culture
They will be performing songs from Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, and
Johnny solo material
22 Victor Krummenacher in San Francisco, CA- Red Devil Lounge $5/$7
(several solo acts) (*POSSIBLY STEALTH REQUIRED)
24 David Lowery, Johnny Hickman, and Jonathan Segel in San Diego, CA-
The Casbah
performing Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, and solo material
25 David Lowery & Johnny Hickman in Pioneertown, CA- Pioneertown Palace
performing Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, and Johnny solo material
26 David Lowery & Johnny Hickman in Park City, UT- Star Bar
performing songs from Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, and Johnny solo
material
* I assume Victor Krummenacher, CVB's bassist is fine with recording,
but I don't know how that multiple solo gig is going to work - you may
need to sneak if you do that one, but the rest you could bring a stand.
You may POSSIBLY be able to get a board feed, if you ask Casey, their
engineer and he has a complete mix. he might be down with a board /
aud matrix, although I don't know of anyone actually doing it.
thanks, and let's trade

Well.. not high and not messing with you. I found a show I taped there and I got good sound there. Like I said you have to steer away from the crowds but the sound came up through the "hole" really nice. For that show the orch and the balc. both had a crazy scene going on and a horrid sound. The best sounds I got were from that spot. Maybe every show there is different.. That was my experience.

Hi,
I guess my purchase of the M1 was an impulse buy. I've been more into my
other hobby of photography and don't tape much anymore (rather
photograph concerts). Anyways, I'd like to sell my M1 - I have all the
original items, manuals, accessories, batteries, charger - etc. The DAT
was used only once for a 1 hour show. So it has only 60 minutes on the
head. It was never used for playback. The tape used for that one show
was a Sony Premium 60P. I have some extra unused 90P and I think another
60P blank DATs I'll throw in. I'd like close to what I paid for it
(bought it brand new). I'm looking for $675 or best offer. At $675 I
will also throw in a nice LowePro bag I bought especially for the DAT
recorder:

Everything fits in it for traveling purposes. Please add $15 for
shipping unless you live in the Mid New Hampshire/Vermont area (we can
meet up). I will accept Check or MO. I can do paypal if you're willing
to pay the fees (Sorry, I just really need the money).
Thanks,
-= Ayaz
