I'm a Bruce collector and I would like to trade high quality Bruce live tapes (please no copies from Bootlegs); I'm expecially interested in tapes from 1970-1990. I hope somebody can help me Ciao Antonino ------------------------------ From: "Music Is Special" Subject: how many of us are there? Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2005 17:18:03 -0600 Just curious, how many tapers do you think are out there? How about over all time? I was thinking 5,000 for the former but then thought I was way low. Wonder how many portable dat decks have been sold. ------------------------------ From: David Danek Subject: ISO Finn Brothers Chicago WXRT broadcast (Dec 04) / KFOG private session Feb 05 Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2005 16:00:40 -0800 (PST) Looking for a DAT or cd-r of the Finn Brothers broadcast from last December on WXRT (their July 04 show in Chicago). The site is currently home to 2500+ users (growing everyday). The mission of the project is to provide the highest quality music possible at high speeds. The site not only provides this, but a community for support/requests/questions/chit chat/etc. Right now, there is a lot of Grateful Dead and related material circulating, but our diversity is increasing at a very rapid rate. Check it out at http://tmnsp.net/ Thanks, Ben Scott-Killian ------------------------------ From: "Joe & Gen Reed" Subject: ISO: (1) Ratdog Ticket for Vic Theater, Chicago,IL fri. 4/1/05??` Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2005 23:25:28 -0600 If anyone wants to get rid of just one extra. please contact me. thanks, joe.com ------------------------------ From: "Gary Davis" Subject: Follow-up on Mars Volta Reply-to: g@hoxnet.com Date: Tue, 29 Mar 2005 02:55:41 -0800 Since many people wrote me back about Mars Volta, I will post their conclusion here. Mars Volta is said to be very friendly to audience audio recordings and will allow stands. Video is possible if you can find a manager or band member to okay it. SBD is said to be impossible due to their record contract. As to my personal likelihood of taping MV, it appears the only Los Angeles venue they are playing is the Greek Theater, which is actually an outdoor amphitheatre with union rules and really strict rule-enforcement. I will probable not attempt to tape there! (However, I will mention that when low-key bands play there, for which they do minimal searches with no metal detectors, I have simply walked in with a D8 in my pocket, rolling, and everything already wired-up). I just pull the mics out from under my shirt once I find my seat). However, if any MV'Heads hear of a secret club show in L.A. (this year or any year), please let me (us) know ;-) --Gary ------------------------------ ** FOR YOUR REFERENCE ** To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net If your email address has changed, you may (optionally) send the message to dat-heads-unsubscribe-oldaddress=olddomain@datheads.phish.net and the old address will be removed.
