Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2005 17:18:03 -0600 Just curious, how many tapers do you think are out there? How about over all time? I was thinking 5,000 for the former but then thought I was way low. Wonder how many portable dat decks have been sold. my guess is there are 28 serious tapers and 16 semi retired tapers on average for each blue state, and 12-19 total tapers who would admit to be tapers for each red state. as a whole the current administration can boast a significant reduction in the amount of tapers during its administration because of its ability to rid the country of taper promoting music and its use of clear channel ticketmaster and the like. _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! From: "Martin Klingmeyer" <martinwk@ptd.net> Subject: how many of us are there? Date: Tue, 29 Mar 2005 21:06:51 -0500 I have no idea how many tapers there may be, but judging by the recent attempted liquidation of equipment on this list, the numbers may be dropping. Perhaps they are just changing formats? -M *************** Just curious, how many tapers do you think are out there? How about over all time? From: Paul Skinner <paulskinner@yahoo.com> Subject: advice need: DIY battery pack for Archos Gmini 400 Reply-To: paulskinner@paulskinner.com Date: Tue, 29 Mar 2005 23:05:52 -0800 (PST) Hi all, Just got an Archos Gmini 400 and I'm looking to build both a 'gone camping' type pack that will let me run off disposable AAs and a decent long-life (li-ion?)rechargable for weekends away, festivals and so on. I've seen recipes for homebrew DAT deck battery packs but I'm a little wary of frying my new toy! Any pointers anyone can give much appreciated. Also be interested to know if anyone's tried taping with one of these things... Thanks! Paul __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
