Get an order in with someone. Note that the R1 is backordered to the moon -
demand far outstrips supply. We are just now seeing December orders being
filled-I got 20% of my first order from November. Product dribbles in, no
one has stock and everyone is backordered. If you ordered from me today,
you would be only 8th on the list and see your unit probably in late June's
shipment. I do have one here on my desk, however.....
Here is a possible alternative:

They are also backordered but only into late April.
We are dealers for these items.
Thanks!

hey there, i'm kinda looking for a cheapie stealthable recorder
to supplement what i've already got, has anybody used the hi-md
recorders that can do uncompressed wav files??? i'm wondering
how they actually sound, i'm not sure if they have an opto in or
not but if not you're stuck with their a/d's which are prolly
designed to take up zero footprint not designed to have a great
spurious-free dynamic range :) just wondering...looking for
general user comments....l8r...Nick
sorta bwt: i have like 60+ discs of dead shns that were kicked
down to me, i'm gonna copy the originals to dvd for my archive
then re-kick down the discs...i think i'm gonna split them up
into 10 disc batches, so if you're interested drop me a
line...might be nice to start a sort of vine...

Your battery is perhaps dead... how long have you been using it?
If you can find a cheap replacement, you're in business again; here in
Italy Sharp asked more than $100 (!) for a spare, so I went on eBay and
got a external, piggyback-type Battery Box (Sharp original, you can find
it in the manual) for $25, including shipping to the other half of the
world.
Brand new. It carries two AA batteries and gives you plenty of recording
time. :)
I've taped maybe 10 shows with it - I got it on ebay about a year ago and he
said he had only
taped a few shows with it.
I have looked on ebay and google, EVERYWHERE for this battery pack and no
one has one!!
Any of you have any suggestions or want to part with yours?
I'm looking on ebay for batteries and there are some cheap $15.00 ones but
they charge
$20.00 shipping. (Bastards thats more than the auction. I HATE THAT!!)

Solve your power issues first, then you can investigate more on this
(if
you get it again).

Ok will do.. Thank you Raffaele and everyone else who has replied. This is
slight
progression!

URGENT - HELP ME DISTRIBUTE MY $15 MILLION TO CHARITY
IN SUMMARY:- I have 15,000,000.00 (fifteen million) U.S. Dollars and I want you to assist me in distributing the money to charity organizations. I agree to reward you with part of the money for your assistance, kindness and participation in this Godly project.
NOTE: PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA: nonohmichael2005@graffiti.net
This mail might come to you as a surprise and the temptation to ignore it as unserious could come into your mind but please consider it a divine wish and accept it with a deep sense of humility.
I am Nonoh Michael and I am a 55 years old man. I am a South African living in the Garden City of Port Harcourt - Nigeria. I was the President/CEO of TOMOBA OIL SERVICES LIMITED - an oil servicing comapny in Port Harcourt. I was also married with two children. My wife and two children died in a car accident six years ago. Before this happened my business and concern for making money was all I was living for and I never really cared about other people.
But since the loss of my family, I have found a new desire to assist the helpless. I have been helping orphans in orphanages/motherless homes. I have donated some money to orphans in Sudan, Ethiopia, Cameroon,Spain, Austria, Germany and some Asian countries.
Before I became ill, I kept $15 Million in a long-term deposit account in Allied Bank PLC. Presently, I am in the hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for oesophageal cancer and my doctors have told me that I have only a few months to live.
It is my last wish to see this money distributed to charity organizations. Because my relatives and friends has plundered so much of my wealth since my illness, I cannot live with the agony of entrusting this huge responsibility to any of them. Please, I beg you in the name of God to help me collect the $15 Million and the interest accrued on the deposit from Allied Bank and distributes it amongst charity organizations. You are at liberty to use your discretion to distribute the money and feel free as well to reimburse yourself when you have the money for any expenses you incur in the course of collecting and distributing the money to charity organizations. I am willing to reward you for your assistance and kindness.
Kindly expedite action and contact me via e-mail: nonohmichael2005@graffiti.net if this proposal is acceptable to you.
May the good Lord bless you and your family.
Best Regards,
Nonoh Michael

U2 taping time again! For those who haven't seen my name on trading lists, I've taped the boys 14 times the last 2 tours and plan to do at least 5 shows this time: 2 x Vancouver, 2 x Vegas (just ordered my Propaganda presale tix to first show), Portland, Gothenburg.
May do the 2 Seattle shows, don't know yet...
My rig is Sony M1 and OKM II R mics.
Looking for master tapers or those who are getting low gen DAT clones (I know it doesn't matter with DAT, but would prefer those who get it from the source if at all possible).
I've been out of the U2 trading loop since the 2001 tour due to a newborn son but am now tring to reestablish my contacts with any former traders, and new contacts as well.

My buddy Z-man reported that he actually saw someone using a flashlight
(their own flashlight even!!) while recording with a mini-disc. I'm
confused, I thought the controls and readouts were only accessible/viewable
using a lighter. Please help.

Hi,
Is anyone editing audio for video here and not using Pro-Tools?
Which other programs are you using? Sound Forge or Cool Edit are on
that list?

Hi All,
I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has experience taping @ the
Pepsi Center in Denver. Specifically, how's the security getting gear
in. Do they check bags, use wands, patdowns? If anyone has any info it
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob

I know Guy from Fugazi did a few improv shows with DJ Olive, Han Bennink,
Mats Gustafsson and others under the moniker International Silence - if
there are any recordings out there please contact me off-list, have tons
of Fugazi and/or improv/avantgarde stuff to trade.

i just remembered that when i used to have a csc battery box that 3 times i
actually held the box in my hand whilst i was being wanded and/or patted and
it worked those 3 times. also the first time i had my minidisc recorder in
my pocket which i knew would set off the wand but the guy then just felt it
thru my pocket, determined it wasnt a weapon and let me in. depending on how
much notice security is taking i reckon you could also hold a minidisc in
your hand and get away it. i have also contemplated doing this with a D100
but havent actually had to do so.
