But seriously, I can understand your request. I would love to see the look on the hospital tech's face when you ask...is there a digital out jack on that thing? Actually, I regret not taping our wedding, there was just too many other things going on to coordinate it at the time. We did an amatuer video setup, but the sound in the church was terrible. If I had the SBD, I could have dubded over it! I wonder if any other DAT-heads have taped any other sounds related to their relationships, hmmm :-) >------------------------------ >From: "Ken Ko" >Subject: Hospital / ultrasonics dat taping question >Date: Sun, 17 Apr 2005 20:28:53 -0700 >Ironic that I first purchased my M1 from a guy on this list a while ago >(thanks again to who I bought it from), and it was from a hospital's >overstock of D8s, M1s originally set aside for recording hours and hours of >ultrasonics. Which now brings me to a non music/melody taping question.... >has anyone taped their wife's pre-natal doctor's visit lately? Supposedly at >some point in the pregnancy, the doctor can do ultrasonics and you can hear >a heartbeat of the fetus. I have no idea of the technology they use or the >equipment for ultrasonics, but I would assume there are digital outs (or >audio RCAs). So my question is, what kind of output connections are used in >those devices and how would I hook up my M1 to that? >Call me a geek or sentimental if you will :-) >Thanks for any help from those DAT fathers out there :-D >-Ken ------------------------------ From: Richard Subject: RE: In-Utero ultrasonics taping Date: Mon, 18 Apr 2005 09:56:23 -0700 (PDT) Namaste Ken, i'd start by going to Micky Hart's site and poking around his _Music To BE Born By_ engineering info. Though i have no experience taping a mama's belly and though not a dad myself i know several parents who've found this album helpful. Perhaps PZM's mounted on the ma ;) Good luck... richard from flagstaff GREENHOUSE PRODUCTIONS Richard Alun Davis 906 North Beaver St. Flagstaff, AZ 86001 (928) 774-1992 RAD (928) 527-4288 fax wehideandseek@yahoo.com http://www.greenhouseproductions.net A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom. - Martin Luther King Jr., "The Trumpet of Conscience", 1967 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
