On Saturday I taped two shows with my D7. I hadn’t used my deck in quite a while and so I replaced the batteries in the deck and the mic and did my usual fast forward/rewind of a new tape to get it ready for recording and went about two minutes into the tape. I set up for the first show and checked my levels and started recording and got my program number and everything. The show went on without a hitch. I recorded the same guy at another gig later that day and used the same tape. I should’ve done a check of the first show but didn’t. I taped the second show and before putting the deck in my pocket I checked the levels and had gotten a new program number etc., etc. After the show was over I stopped the deck and flipped the tab on the tape so I wouldn’t accidentally record over anything. When I got in the car on my way home I wanted to listen to what I’d recorded so I hooked it up to my car stereo and nothing. I rewound all the way and then fast forwarded a while and didn’t get the program numbers to show up either. Yesterday I plugged the mic back in and did some testing at the very beginning and the very end of the tape and what I did recorded on the tape just fine. I’m pretty much resigned to the fact that I’m screwed and lost everything but does anyone have any idea as to what happened? Is it possible the tape misaligned twice, 10 hours apart, when doing the recording? That’s the only thing I can think of but I can’t imagine why it would’ve done it twice on Saturday and not at all on Sunday. If anyone could be of any assistance to me I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Steve ------------------------------ From: "rmplurker" Subject: FS Apogee Mini Me and Tascam DA-P1 Date: Mon, 16 May 2005 19:41:03 -0500 Mini Me purchased from Cascade Media in March of 2002 used in the field about 20 times since purchased.
