Lots of good DAW/Mastering programs for the Mac these days. I use a MIO
2882+DSP interface (fits nicely under the G4 Powerbook). Tons of
options and abilities. They have a two channel box or a multichannel
box. The MIO console software now includes a Record panel. Basic, even
crude, but works great. Most DAW programs will read the files for
editing. I use Peak for editing/mastering (and sometimes recording).
Very powerful, but can be a little buggy. For multichannel, lots of
folks like the new, and cheap, Traction from Mackie.
You also can't beat Protools LE with the Mbox. USB rather than
FireWire (MIO uses FireWire). But then you have the ubiquitous ProTools
for editing. Two channel only, tho.
Logic 7 Express is great, especially if you ever want to do midi. But
complicated, long learning curve.
Lots of other great hardware out there (as well as software), but check
out www.mhlabs.com before you purchase. I think you'll like what you
see.

I have a well used D8 for sale with an Oade active cable.
There are a few things I must point out....
1. It has never been serviced, but in all honesty the deck has never given
me a single solitary hassle. In fact it has been nothing but a champ.
2. The Line In jack has lost the outer ring due to a mishap a few years ago.
It will still hold a plug but it does wiggle a bit but since never used it I
never bothered to have it fixed.
3. The switch for the sample rate is broken, not the internal switch but the
little plastic one. I simply opened up the deck, set it to 44.1 and never
opened it again.
It has never eaten a tape, failed to load or unload and in the 200+ hours I
have run it, has served me quite well.
I do have the Sony power supply, one new and one slightly used Sony head
cleaner and will include the Case Logic bag I have used to store and
transport this deck in.
I can provide photo's on request.
Looking for 225 plus shipping (and 3% if Paypal is used)

Hi all,I'm putting together a new stealth rig and
would like to find a used Denecke PS-2 phantom power

Please get a hold of me if anyone out there has one
