Help would be appreciated Date: Tue, 12 Jul 2005 21:11:38 +0100 Hi everyone I am wanting to purchase some DAT recording equipment so I am able to tape some various live shos going on in England. I am a novice to this and would really appreciate it if somebody could give me some advice on where to start and where I can purchase my equipment from...... I don't have any price/cost limits - and I would like a set up that is going to give me a good clear sound. If there is anybody out there in the UK who could give me some advice and help with this I'd be very glad and very greatful. I would prefer to purchase the equipment from the UK but would also consider buying from the USA as all the experts seem to be in the USA!!!! The set up I have been looking at so far is: AT831's > SP SB-6 > Sony TCD-D100 @ 44.1kHz as I have live recording from this set up and the sound quality was excellent. Please email me off list at the address below So many thanks in advance............ tracychapman_live@hotmail.com http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/tracychapman_live/index.jhtml ------------------------------ From: Ian Stone Subject: Re: DAT-heads Digest #540 Reply-To: Ian Stone Date: Tue, 12 Jul 2005 16:17:37 -0400 (EDT) John, I believe i know who it is who patched from your rig, i believe it was Franklin Malemud. Was he running a d7? I can definitely try to get in touch w/ him and find out if he's the person. I ran my rig for that too - i missed part of the beginning. Started rolling tape at about 11:43pm, wasn't expecting them to start early. Did you get it starting when they started? I remember hearing that (maybe) one taper caught the start. I ran: Mbho603a/ka200n>mp2>ad2k+>vxpocket / lifebook p2120 @24bit/48khz.... Feel free to get in touch, i can make you a copy from my rig and/or put you in touch with franklin. :) Peace, Ian Stone =====Original Message===== From: Digestifier Sent: Jul 12, 2005 3:50 PM To: DAT-heads-Distribution@datheads.phish.net Subject: DAT-heads Digest #540 DAT-heads Digest #540, Volume #7 Tue, 12 Jul 05 15:50:00 EDT Contents: ISO patcher @ Late Night Duo set HSMF ("John Cocci") ============================== From: "John Cocci" Subject: ISO patcher @ Late Night Duo set HSMF Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2005 18:37:32 -0700 Hey, I am looking for the guy who was patched out me at the late night Duo set at High Sierra. All but the Howowitz are in the original shrink-wrap. Anyone like to buy these? No reasonable offer refused!! (I could also be tempted to sell the ZE700) I've sold two of the original five DATs. Simpson" Subject: Looking for Pink Floyd traders Date: Wed, 13 Jul 2005 04:29:19 -0700 (PDT) Greetings all, It seems that the recent Live 8 show has brought some past Pink Floyd tapers/traders out of the wood works, which is nice to see. I am looking for master/low gen shows performed by the boys – any years, including solo material. I prefer DAT, but can work in almost any media you wish. I am especially looking for any tapers that would be interested in trading. I have many master/low gens to offer in return, spanning their entire career, the majority of which is on DAT. Please note that the web list is not 100% up-to-date, but it is close (quite a few master/low gen 84-94 shows have been added since then). Please contact me at pfdatrader@yahoo.com if you are interested. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from some of you. peace, Travis http://home.bellsouth.net/p/PWP-lifeisonlyadream __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
