Subject: DAT Recording Help - What should I buy? Help would be appreciated
Date: Tue, 12 Jul 2005 21:11:38 +0100
Hi everyone
I am wanting to purchase some DAT recording equipment so I am able to tape
some various live shos going on in England.
I am a novice to this and would really appreciate it if somebody could give
me some advice on where to start and where I can purchase my equipment
from......
I don't have any price/cost limits - and I would like a set up that is going
to give me a good clear sound.
If there is anybody out there in the UK who could give me some advice and
help with this I'd be very glad and very greatful.
I would prefer to purchase the equipment from the UK but would also consider
buying from the USA as all the experts seem to be in the USA!!!!
The set up I have been looking at so far is: AT831's > SP SB-6 > Sony
TCD-D100 @ 44.1kHz
as I have live recording from this set up and the sound quality was
excellent.
Please email me off list at the address below
So many thanks in advance............

John,
I believe i know who it is who patched from your rig, i believe it was Franklin Malemud. Was he running a d7?
I can definitely try to get in touch w/ him and find out if he's the person.
I ran my rig for that too - i missed part of the beginning. Started rolling tape at about 11:43pm, wasn't expecting them to start early. Did you get it starting when they started? I remember hearing that (maybe) one taper caught the start.
I ran: Mbho603a/ka200n>mp2>ad2k+>vxpocket / lifebook p2120 @24bit/48khz....
Feel free to get in touch, i can make you a copy from my rig and/or put you in touch with franklin.
:)
Peace,
Ian Stone

My original post:
I have unearthed a set of five Sony Classical
pre-recorded DAT's that I've had since I bought my
DTC-ZE700 deck. All but the Howowitz are in the
original shrink-wrap. Anyone like to buy these? No
reasonable offer refused!! (I could also be tempted to sell the
ZE700)
I've sold two of the original five DATs. These three remain:
SD44900 Barber/Britten Cello Concs/YoYoMa
SD44935 Mahler: Des Knaben Wunderhorn Berlin Phil.
SD45818 Vladimir Horowitz The Last Recording
Looking for offers.

Subject: Looking for Pink Floyd traders

Greetings all,
It seems that the recent Live 8 show has brought some
past Pink Floyd tapers/traders out of the wood works,
which is nice to see. I am looking for master/low gen
shows performed by the boys – any years, including
solo material. I prefer DAT, but can work in almost
any media you wish. I am especially looking for any
tapers that would be interested in trading. I have
many master/low gens to offer in return, spanning
their entire career, the majority of which is on DAT.
Please note that the web list is not 100% up-to-date,
but it is close (quite a few master/low gen 84-94
shows have been added since then). Please contact me
at pfdatrader@yahoo.com if you are interested. Thanks
and I look forward to hearing from some of you.
peace,
Travis
