They'll probably work just fine. Use the 20 or 30 dB setting, depending
on how hot the signal really is.

I use the Attenuators that came from Core Sound for the Denecke AD-20.
I believe they knock the signal down 20-22dB They are XLR>RCA, so
you would need the XLR pigtail for the Mic2496 (sounds like you might
have it already). It is kinda klunky,but it works.
