I'm going to start here and move to ebay later if necessary. I'll take payment via Paypal (credit cards are ok) or money order and the shipping is on me. So here's the gear... ============================ Sony TCD-D8 w/ Oade Active 7pin, Oade 6v SLA w/ charger (~12hr run-time), Sony AC adapter, and Sony leather case = $450 -- The D8 was serviced by Oade about a year ago and works perfectly. Given the cost of the Oade cable and battery system, this should be a good deal for someone looking to become a patcher, or for someone looking to move up from a Minidisc. ============================ ============================ Nomad JB3 w/ *2* batteries and a right angle toslink>mini adapter = $200 -- The Nomad is a Creative refurb that I bought from Creative about 3months ago. It's only been used about 10-15x and is LIKE NEW. ============================ ============================ Apogee AD1000 Platinum Edition w/ PS1000 dual power supply, 2 15pins w/ spdif breakouts, 1 dual 15pin cable for the PS1000 that has a spdif and word clock breakout, *2* 12v SLAs (one Eco-Charge, one home built), and a 12v Powesonic float charger = $500 -- The Apogee got a new word clock in March of 2001. I was also told by the previous owner that the Platinum upgrade was done then as well. I have a Picking Slip document from Apogee that shows the repair work (including the serial number that matches the unit). The repair work lists the word clock, as well as a couple of other cryptic line items that I assume were part of the Platinum upgrade but I don't understand them, so I'm not sure. If you're interested, I'll type them up and send them to you. Overall, this Apogee is in great condition. I've owned it for about a year, and I've had no word clock issues at all. It's locked at the same number of passes the entire time I've owned it, and I've not seen any of the symptoms that the clock is going out. I don't have any way of really putting a number on how much it's been used since it got a new clock, but I'd say the use has been moderate at worst. I honestly think it has a good amount of life left in it. ============================ ============================ 2 AT8410 shock mounts = $40 -- These have definitely seen a fair amount of use, so they've got quite a few cosmetic flaws. One of the mounts stripped at the point where the ring screws into the swivel and I repared it w/ JB Weld and it works perfectly and definitely isn't coming back off. I never use these w/ my active Schoeps setup, so I might as well give them a better home. ============================ I'm going to take pictures of all of this stuff hopefully tonight and I'll post an edit w/ the web address where you can check them out. If you have any questions, shoot me a PM. Mitch ------------------------------ From: Nick Zuccaro Subject: creative jukebox updates?!? Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2005 14:57:57 -0700 (PDT) hey there, like most of us i've been tracking the porta-hard disk recorder scene to see when it will finally become practical to ditch the dat but i've been noticing a lot of people using the jb3's as storage devices, from what i remember a while back they had a glitch where they dropped a sample every 1024 samples continually...did they ever fix this? just wondering why a lot of peepz are using this thing that's got a known bit error. are they just ignoring it?? i know there's another list or NG about the jukeboxes but i was hoping somebody could give me the 411 without having to lurk on another group :) drop me a line if you get a chance...l8r...Nick ------------------------------ From: "Frank Meachum" Subject: ISO: taper for Chris Isaak 7/31/05-Murphys Cal Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2005 19:00:28 -0700 SSIA Hi all, I am in need of a taper for a show in Murphys, CA at the Ironstone Vineyards. The deck doesn't have much use on it and looks new. ~50 hours of recording and minimal play back. Never used for dubbing or cloning. $350.00 -chris ------------------------------ From: KindTaper@aol.com Subject: Floyd from Live 8 on DVD Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2005 23:34:16 EDT Did anyone get a clean pull of this? They played two sets + encore--plenty of chances for tape swaps, but I used a single 90M tape with plenty to spare. -- Wayne D.
