DAT-heads Digest #566, Volume #7 Sun, 7 Aug 05 16:50:01 EDT Contents: JS/JA 40th Anniversary Reunion Show ("Lerner, David S, ALABS") seeking quality trades (Zep, Who, Police, Floyd) (New Homebrew) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Lerner, David S, ALABS" Subject: JS/JA 40th Anniversary Reunion Show Date: Sat, 6 Aug 2005 18:07:27 -0500 Tapers, Hate to make a pitch, but the mgmt of this band asked me to keep pushing so here it goes.=20 For those of you who like the Jefferson Starship - they are playing a small club in upstate New York (The Van Dyck in Schenectady) next Friday August 12. The band line-up for this show is: Paul Kantner, Marty Balin, Prairie Prince (of the Tubes), Diana Mangano, David Freiberg (of Quicksilver), Chris Smith, Slick Aguilar, Tom Constanten (of the GD) and Darby Gould. The shows are to honor the 40th anniversary of the Jefferson Airplane. And no, this is the not JS that did "We Built This City". It's the JS that did stuff like Blows Against the Empire or Planet Earth Rock'n'Roll, Sunfighter, etc.=20 There are 2 shows, 8 & 11PM. Tix can be obtained by emailing me, I'm doing a favor for this band (out of love, I might add) so that the anniversay just doesn't go by without some kind of fan appreciation. They will be doing many JA classics besides the JS hits. Marty Balin will be doing a mini-set and play some rare solo songs. TC will be performing classic GD tunes too. David will do some Quicksilver songs (ex: Pride of Man).=20 This band is taper friendly! Audience rigs are allowed and many people get board patches. This will be a long and spiritual night, near the Vibes gig. Tix are a little pricey ($65 for early show, $100 for both shows), but with these many performers and this tiny club, its understandable. The band will join a meet and greet with the audience and sign almost anything you hand them. Digital picture takers are welcomed. Video is OK too! Again, sorry for the commercial. But if like you tape, if you like Jeffersonian music and if you are near this club, this is the chance to tape an historic event. After next weekend, its back to just another show in the next town. =20 Dave Lerner dlerner@ems.att.com ------------------------------ From: New Homebrew Subject: seeking quality trades (Zep, Who, Police, Floyd) Date: Sat, 6 Aug 2005 19:40:32 -0500 Greetings- I've got some time for trading at the moment. Check my list if you collect known-source material from "old" bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Cream, Black Sabbath, Roy Harper: http://hard-luck.net/other.htm I like to trade on DAT, but have transferred some items to CDr, so you CDr guys might find something as well. I've also got a CDr transfer direct from master cassettes of The Police at Shea Stadium 8/18/83 that's not listed. --=20 DAT, DVD, & CDr trading: other artists=3D> http://hard-luck.net/other.htm jeff buckley=3D> http://hard-luck.net ------------------------------ ** FOR YOUR REFERENCE ** To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net If your email address has changed, you may (optionally) send the message to dat-heads-unsubscribe-oldaddress=olddomain@datheads.phish.net and the old address will be removed.
