Amen, Wayne -

I've still NEVER seen a recording in circulation that was made using the
PDAudio device(s).  I looked into it pretty carefully last year when it was
surfacing, and the money it would have taken to approximate a $300 Jukebox
III was just ridiculous.  Plus results in a unit about the size of two D8s.
Yes, you can bash me for 'not caring' about the word-length and sampling
rate possibilities the PDAudio offers, but keeping yourself in PDA batteries
and microdrives to record a 3-hour show at 24/192 is just not something I'm
interested in.  Get a VAIO and move on.

I think the MAudio is going to be a great thing, and I'm frankly surprised
Core will be selling it at all.  It's going to crush whatever PDA-ola
they're selling now, if any.

Or maybe prices for the PDAudio stuff is remaining high is because it's just
being bought up too rapidly by all those Foley artists out there...

Ibrahim Ferrer, passed away Sunday at 78 yrs of age
