i have an m-audio audiophile 24/96 card and soundforge 6.0.
is there any way that i can play a file in foobar, output it through the
soundcard's s/pdif output, loop that into the the s/pdif input, and record
the signal in SF?
i'm interested in comparing wavs in order to test foobar and the soundcard.

I am sure this is not the most efficient method, but it has worked for
me. I've burned several tracks onto a CDR, merging them into one
track, so that the CDR has one track. Then, dump it back to the PC,
(toss the CDR in the trash), and use CDWave or whatever to split the
big file at the proper places back into smaller files.

Subject: Simple WAV editor (mostly for creating track ids)
Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2005 19:58:04 -0400
I have several WAV 'tracks' that I need to join into a single track
then set new 'track ids' (they are currently
incorrect as I used a 'music' cd recorder to author the tracks).
Since I have not done any music editing in a couple of years, I am
hoping someone can recco a simple application to do the above
(specifically 1) join the WAV files and 2) re-set the track-ids -
ideally creating a CUE sheet that EAC can then use to burn the disk).
Thanks
Will

Hey All,
I am looking for anyone who has taped (or plan on
taping) The Mars Volta or Dredg on their tours this
year. I am especially looking for anyone who taped
the Atlanta or Hampton shows with TMV opening for
System of a Down.
I have much to offer - please contact me if you are
interested (my list needs some updating).
Looking for DAT clones, but can work with almost any
media. Thanks and I hope to hear from some of you all
soon.
peace,
ts

I am trying to sell this again as i have had 2 people back out. i
havent used my dat much in the past year. i got it about 2 years ago.
it has around 30 hours of usage and is in really good condition.
i will also include Dynamic Audio Binaural mics (these are similar to
Core Sound Binaurals) and were made by a former member of the Smashing
Pumpkins taping community, Zach Payne. they really are good mics which
i think anyone who used them can attest to. the mics also come with
the battery box that has the bass roll off and the flat feature. (the
box takes a 9v battery)
i also have a cloth case which houses everything, a leather case for
the DAT itself, rechargable battery charger (no batteries, takes
standard AA's), AC outlet adapter as well as a few blank dat tapes.
let me know if you are interested. price is negotiable. I would like
to sell it as a set but it can be broken.
if you are interested email me. AManassero AT Gmail DOT com
pictures of the stuff is available on request. i would rather sell it
here because ebay can be a pain. I do have very good ebay feedback
which is also available on request.
