Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com ------------------------------ From: "Dave Pernal" Subject: FS Sony TCD-D8 Date: Sat, 24 Sep 2005 15:47:03 -0400 I am selling my extra used Sony TCD-D8 DAT recorder. This unit has under 200 hours on it, was used gently, and never failed me in the field. New units go for $650-$899. You get the AC adapter, a 7-pin-to-coax cable, a custom d-cell battery sled (typically runs for 12-15 hours on 4 D batteries), and a carrying case for the deck. I also just recently had the Pro-Digital cleaning/check done (January, haven't used i since). I'm looking for $400, but will consider reasonable offers for it. Email me off-list for pics of the deck, heads, and accessories. Thanks, and have a grateful day! David Foster Wallace ------------------------------ From: "John Kupchik" Subject: ISO Chicago taper for HARTFIELD (and any other HARTFIELD recordings) Date: Sat, 24 Sep 2005 20:10:08 -1000 Hartfield is one of my fave bands and they are just finishing up their first ever USA tour. They are touring with Airiel. Hartfield is a Japanese shoegaze rock band sounding much like My Bloody Valentine, though quite original and not crap like many MBV imitator bands. Anyway the final gig of their tour is coming up and I'm looking for a Chicago taper to tape it: September 27th, 2005 - Double Door, Chicago=20 Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8:30pm You can check the double door schedule here: http://www.doubledoor.com/shows.php Tickets are only $3. I'd be happy to pay your tickets + gas in the way of blank Maxell HS60 DATs. I also have loads to trade from many similar bands, including some DAT = masters. Please contact me for my complete list in excel format. I'm mainly interested in the Hartfield recording, though I'd trade for a recording of Airiel's set as well. I'm also looking for any other Hartfield recordings from this tour!=20 Please get in touch. They really rock live, you won't regret going to = see them if you're into this kind of music. Thanks for your time. John ------------------------------ From: Sean Walton Subject: Anyone have DATs for sale? Reply-To: seanw@culthero.de Date: Sun, 25 Sep 2005 05:10:26 -0700 (PDT) I've seen people selling off shows on DAT on Dat-heads from time to time, and I've nevere been lucky enough to respond in time to buy any. So, is there anyone who is getting ready to sell off their dats they are no longer listening to? I have a pretty eclectic taste, but usually not to into the jam bands, except DMB. I'd really like to buy: Brit New Wave Hair Metal 90's Alternative Please e-mail me if you have any to get rid of. I can get you on the guestlist +1 if you can record the show for me. Send me an e-mail if you can make it and we'll work out the details. If anyone else is planning on catching any of the other upcoming LL shows and needs assistance with getting gear in and otherwise making taping hassle-free, just drop me a line as well.
