Hey now,

Does an application exist to search a WAV file for
dropouts and/or digi-noise?  I have a number of
DAT->HD transfers to make and won't have time to
listen intently right away.  But I'd like to ensure
that there are not preventable problems on playback. 
WinXP would be the preferred OS and free is nice. :-)

TT i'd be more concerned about voltage converters for
your re-chargeable batteries ;)

Did a sbd/aud mix for Blackalicious the other night.
They left w/ the masters w/ a ((((possibility))) of
getting a non-tradeable clone back from the record
company at some point. I am not holding my breath... 
Yanni [seriously] is the name of their tour manager
and Cody is their FOH. Great group of gentlemen who i
don't think have had much exposure to live archiving.
Anyways, it may eventually sway the band's anti-taping
stance if more folks "sacrificed" their masters and
recording duties were rendered pro bono...at the
b=very least some of the more conscious hip-hop
actually egts a chance to be documented even if it
never leaves the band-member's homes  :)

And yes, Robert Cray is still VERY anti-taping, i
spoke w/ the man hisself for a good five minutes on
the subject of Alan Lomax. I shoulda kept my polite
mouth shut ;)

mAh NiMH AA batteries and charger, and a 4 x D cell sled for festival

-Audix Micros M1290 mics with cardioid caps.  Bought new from Sonic Sense in 
April 2004. Includes all accessories (12' mic cables, standard windscreens, 
mic clips, and cherry wood boxes), pix on request. I'll also include a pair
