The CSSCs are designed to not to overload your mic pre-amp so you should
be using the Mic input on low sensitivity ("L" or "-20").

Just wondering if anyone caught the Weller tour this
time around. I actually saw both the LA and San
Francisco shows a couple weeks ago but couldn't walk
away with a tape. Long story...
So, I'm looking for someone who taped the LA and SF
shows but will trade for any masters from the current
or previous tours - Jam or Style Council as well.
Would prefer DATs but I'm not picky.
I have DAT masters/clones to offer. Please email for a
trade list.
Thanks!
Alex

Sorry I can't answer the specific question, but I do have a followup
question for you: Why do you not want to set the record level to 9 on
your deck, especially if that's a level that gives you decent peaks?
FWIW, I have taped many shows where my record levels are in the 8 to 10
range... as long as you're not going 'over' I don't see the problem.

I taped Aimee Mann at the Hawaii Theatre, Honolulu last night =
(28-Sept-2005).
My setup was CSB>Battery Box>Line in>TCD-D8 @48khz. 5th row center. =
90minutes.
A very nice sounding tape. She ended the final encore with an amazing =
version of "Voices Carry" (the hit
song from her old 80s band Til Tuesday), which she never played live =
during her solo
career until this year, I believe.=20
I'm looking to trade for other Aimee Mann DAT masters from this tour
or any other tour, as well as DAT recordings of similar artists,
and good music in general.=20
Drop me a line if interested.
Thanks,
john

Atomic Bitchwax is on tour again.....if you like straight-up old-school
guitar rock (along the lines of say, Cream or Robin Trower), this band is
very much so worth taping, and is taper-friendly....I got a great tape of
them in Baltimore in July, and should be hitting the DC show at the end of
the tour.....the dates can be found here:

Did anyone happen to tape the Wayne Kramer / Bellrays set in DC on 9/24? I
was gonna go, but overslept.....almost glad that I didn't make it, I heard
that it took like 3 hours to get into the city that day!
