This policy started sometime after March, 2003. His bootlegs are banned on DIME, by request of the artist. The management has been known to be aggressive in monitoring shows for stealth tapers and in contacting people who are trading boots. Don From: Steve Randolph Subject: Alejandro Escovedo Orchestra Taping Policy Date: Fri, 30 Sep 2005 14:30:28 -0700 (PDT) They are playing at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland Sat,Oct 1st. Are they taper friendly? Thanks alot, Steve Randolph ------------------------------ From: "fluffhead" Subject: RE: Taping Stands Date: Sat, 1 Oct 2005 12:10:08 -0700 You can save some $$ by getting a lighting stand and then picking up a $2 adapter so that threads of your mic bar match up. I have a Bogen stand (made by Manfrotto) with a Shure A27M vertical bar for the mics. Works perfect. I'd also suggest to look for one that is silver and not black in color. Much less chance of people walking into the stand in the dark. Either way I usually wrap a few neon rings around the stand just to be safe. Stay Kind, Dana ============================== From: Benjamin Scott-Killian Subject: Taping Stands Date: Sat, 01 Oct 2005 11:27:30 -0400 Hi Dat-Heads, I am a new taper and I am getting my first rig together. I was wondering what people use for stands. I have seen a lot about the Shure S15a, but not much about anything else, does anybody have any other recs? -Peace Ben ------------------------------ From: Kurt Ruthe Subject: FS/FA Schoeps VMS 52UB Preamp Date: Sat, 1 Oct 2005 14:34:18 -0700 (PDT) Great condition.
